I mean...Hi.

I'd like to bring up the fact that I haven't played Skyward Sword. How will this affect my roleplaying experience?

I have played Hyrule Total War. If you haven't, I reccommend it (even though it's not finished).

I don't think it'll affect it that much. You might want to watch the opening cutscene, it talks about the war currently going on (I'm assuming this is taking place after the fourth Goddess has already sent most of the humans into the sky?).

It shouldn't effect it much at all, the world is quite a bit different from Skyward Sword's world, and I won't be using the dungeons from the game, except for when they serve the purpose of cities, like the Fire Sanctuary.

It is not, in fact. For the most part, the war is still on the borders of The Realm, where Demise's forces have been building strongholds and staging points for about a year.

Of course, that'll change soon enough.

Yes. New weapons will be obtainable.

Cool. Actually, I have a question. Do you think that Yth could store his second hand with his bottle of Lantern Oil?

Sure, seems fine to me.

Is it safe to assume that the items work the same way in the RP as in the games? Like, for instance, would Laan be able to use her boomerang to retrieve far-away items?

Yes.

My character's lantern oil only serves the purpose of refueling his Flamethrower. Though I guess someone with a lantern could use it if they really needed it...

Did I mess up or something? Are LD-002's supposed to have sentience?

Most of the originals would, because of what they were created to do(captain ships), but mass produced LD-002s weren't given sentience, because of what they were created to do(fight). It's up to you whether or not it has sentience.

I'm just going to throw in some head-canon that a systems check is the equivalent of using the restroom for robots. Except they do it whenever they feel like it as opposed to when they have to. Also, they're similar in that they leave you completely unguarded until you're done.

So, seeing as my character is going to be magic-based, will he gain new magic books over the course of the game? (This would in essence turn his Macic Rod into both a Fire Rod, Ice Rod and whatever extra spells he might get for it.)

Yeah, there'll be some more magic books, and some spellbooks too.
