So they're going back to the Frequency/Amplitude style of gameplay huh? That's odd for me because I was seriously considering buying Amplitude not too long ago.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!This isn't the first time they're incorporating the Frequency/Amplitude gameplay into a Rock Band game. Rock Band Unplugged and the DS versions of Lego Rock Band and Rock Band 3 did so as well.
I'll admit, though, the fact that you can import songs into and out of this game* has me interested now.

I put on my robe and tinfoil hat...Oh yes, the similarities to Unplugged, Frequency, and Amplitude got me interested. The Rock Band DLC compatibility and being able to use these tracks in RB3 sure makes it look like a great deal. It's like a game and an expansion pack in one.

That might actually be pretty cool. Whatever I've played of Unplugged, I enjoyed. So I guess I'll get this one too.
This might actually help me get into Rock Band again.
...Or it would, if my guitar controller still worked.

I put on my robe and tinfoil hat...Blitz doesn't use the instrument controllers, unless you're talking about playing the Blitz songs on Rock Band 3.
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!That's precisely what I mean. My preferred controller doesn't function correctly, I hate the feel on my alternate controller, and the cheapest price of my preferred model I can find is $100.
But yeah, Metal Health, Once Bitten, Twice Shy, and Jessie's Girl are all great picks for this game.

I put on my robe and tinfoil hat...It's things like that that remind me that I wish I hadn't lost my Rock Band 2 manual (as that's the only way to get the Rock Band 2 songs onto 3, and I lost it JUST before I got the latter.)
"Pancakes. Oh, I blew it." - Joel Hodgson Nobody better lay a Butterfinger on my 3DS!After Unplugged, I certainly hope that only two buttons per instrument is a thing only for the lower difficulties. Even if this one doesn't lock down the other instruments when you start on one, it seems far too easy.
Jurassic Park is frightening in the dark All the dinosaurs are running wildIt's here at PAX. I'll check it out.
Jonah FalconIt's funny how Harmonix are presenting gameplay they themselves made games with less than ten years ago as some sort of mind blowing innovation.
True...

At least they're not doing it with someone else's gameplay.
@baron what broke? some parts can be fixed fairly easily.
I'm baaaaaaackThe best part is that the songs are compatible with Rock Band, and any Rock Band song can work with it.
