Looks like Teeth-Clenched Teamwork since the Sorceress is the traitor who brought down the Order herself.
Jonah FalconRobot just told me it's PC exclusive. (I mentally added, "For now". LOL)
Jonah FalconThe first game was on 360 as well, wasn't it? Kinda strange. Oh well, I'm happy as long as the PC version is good.

Microsoft had agreed to publish the first one.
Jonah FalconSome stuff about the spellbook and upgades
Along with the weapons and traps, there are now trinkets, which can be set to give buffs or an active skill, like resetting traps, and purely cosmetic items. Each thing will have multiple upgrades, both standard levels and unique upgrades.
So this is going to take a lot of skulls, right? They have that covered too- in addition to getting skulls for doing well on levels, they'll also be dropped from enemies and granted for completing certain feats. Seems like this is shaping up pretty well.
so yeah, it's been released.
I'd buy it if I knew someone to play Co-op with. unfortunately, that's not the case.
I may actually buy this one at full price. The first game was the most adorably hilarious thing I'd played in years, and as long as they keep to the basic formula I can't see them going wrong.
Hoping the levels have a little more aesthetic detail this time around, and that the underpowered traps are cheaper, but other than that I can't think of anything I'd change.
Furthermore, I think Guantanamo must be destroyed.I was watching STAR do some streaming of this, and it definitely looks like fun. I'd play it, but the first one keeps crashing whenever I try to open it.
Best advertizement for a game EVER: Have two sensible gamers play it for an hour and rave about it.
My evidence:
So... anyone want to team up for the co-op? If "yes," I'll buy it at full price. $15 for it is not bad at all. Even if I never quite finished the first game.
Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I'm grabbing this as soon as the money lands in my paypal account, and I'm going to play it with you guys
The sorceress is the second player character, right? Guuuuud. She was the second-best part of the first game
If you're in my timezone, I'll take that offer.
I'm on the east coast and I could definitely use a co-op buddy.
Decided to play the first one again.
...Forgot how hard the level I was stuck on is/was (The Squeeze). FINALLY figured out a way to get past it, but dang that was hard.
Must say, I'm not liking the look of The Finale. Well, let's see how bad it is.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I'm stuck on Nightmare!Chaos chamber. Soooo many Kobolds.
How much tougher can Nightmare be?
~plays Nightmare!The Halway~
Oh. They added another level of Orges that are faster AND take more damage. And there is no time to plan, just act.
~beats Nightmare! The Halway on 3rd try with 5 skulls by mind-controlling the Armored Orge with mushrooms~
~finds out that the next level has normal Orges and Hunters in the final wave as well as the Armored Orge~
Excuse me while I go find a corner to cry in.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!I have been holding off on Nightmare Mode. Stronger and tougher enemies is one thing, but no prep time is what makes me think of it as 'malicious' rather than 'challenging'. Instead I've just been getting high-scores on War Mage. Too bad I really don't get how the scoring system works, so it mostly comes down to finding new and creative ways to kills orcs.
Like on the Baths. Usually, I place few spring traps aiming towards the closest acid bath. This time, I felt a little more cheeky, and reversed them, making them aim at the bath in the opposite direction.
The kill rate wasn't 100% like with the other method, but actually seeing all those orcs fly around was so much more funny. Like the one time an orc got launched, hit the ceiling, fell on top of another spring trap, and got launched again into the acid pit. Classic!
Incidentally, I have found a co-op buddy after showing him a few levels of the original. We'll be playing as soon as he fixed his computer. Yay.

I saw a great vid on scoring (including a tutorial for a couple levels) a while ago. You want to get the highest combos you can. That means setting up a "kill zone" where you have the Orcs die after being hit with as many status effects as possible.
Here it is. At the time he had "#1 on 14/16 maps."
Basically, you get 200 points for a 3-combo kill and it doubles for each additional combo (up to at least a 9 combo which is 12,800). 7:49 has the list of "combo cool down" times for each trap.

Yu hav nat sein bod speeling unntil know. (cacke four undersandig tis)the cake is a lie!Funny. I was just watching that, got to a boring part and quickly skipped to this forum to see if anything new happened.
Very nice vid, indeed. I'm gonna go score high!
EDIT:
- Step #1: Watch video.
- Step #2: Try out new tricks on The Hallway.
- Step #3: Do a little happy dance once you find out you hit the top 1000 on the first go.
Damm, this high-scoring stuff is a completely different game indeed. I need to upgrade my toys! I need to play Nightmare! Oh, I should try Cheechucking with the Mana Well.
BEST! JOB! EVER!

Yeah, I almost want to accuse Nightmare mode of Fake Difficulty for taking out the breathers. It just doesn't make the game more fun.
In other news, I'm the only troper in the first game (On my own friends list, at least) who has scored on the nightmare leaderboards at all, despite having the lowest scoreboard of us on War Mage. This annoys me somehow.
You can add me if you want. It will be a while before my friend can play, so I'm stuck battling for high-scores for a while.
Though I'll probably stick to War Mage most of the time. I need a few skulls for extra upgrades, but other than that, I'm not feeling like going much further with Nightmare.
I sort of enjoy Nightmare's lack of breathers in the smaller levels. When you have to spend the whole countdown just reaching the gate, though, it's a bit less fun.
Or you have to retry three times just to give you the time needed to properly explore the map.
Really, I don't think Nightmare mode would be that much easier with some prep time. Monsters are still tougher, and all you need to nip most 'instant win' strategies in the bud is judicious application of Kobold sappers. Or frost Ogres. Frost Ogres are a pain.
Considering how much I rely on floor burner traps, It's fire Ogres that really get me. I can still handle them though, with my trusty crossbow.
It's the goddamn Kobolds that are the problem. They're too quick to get hit by most traps, they trigger traps ahead of time thus sparing the orcs them (Sometimes entire corridors at once!)they're freaking hard to catch with a crossbow bolt and they still take a point off the rift! They're the very definition of Goddamn Bats if you ask me. Even the fire babies have the courtesy of flying slowly so you aren't CONSTANTLY WORRYING about them. Waaaay too much of my time is spent chasing kobolds down.
This time, we have co-op. Finally.
