alright this an awesome anime so why is only fillerdude posting?

Also this ep had incredible amount of heartwarming.

[up]

Because it's incredibly positive and, for the most part, consistent in both its themes and its execution. It really is harder to talk about a series that's been doing relatively well week after week, than a trainwreck.

[up]What she said.

Okay, Mutta got the best green card by far. Those interrupts...[lol]

[up][up] That's a good point. Doesn't really have much to speculate about either in terms of mystery. I suppose we can talk about the abundance of the characters and how distinct they are.

[up] I love how everyone ceases to give a shit about it. Poor Mutta, I would hate to have that green card.

[up]Realistically speaking, I don't suppose I'd be very happy with the task, either. Being a dissenter or troublemaker can be really difficult, even if you have a sensible reason for it.

Not to mention the embarrassment.

Episode 19: Teams A and B having good times, though the time to choose draws near.

... Team C? What Team C?

Actually yeah, what the hell has been happening with team C? Curious how that group's doing.

[up] They're pretty much just extras. But from the brief screentime they were given they look like they're supposed to be the worst team (not being successful in the tasks, their method for choosing sucks, etc.).

[up] Fair point. Whatever, have confidence they'll be introduced at a good point or at least the relevant bits.

Also, god damn this ep was heartwarming. Ya-san!

Episode 20: Damn, this one really tugged at the heartstrings. Having to choose two people, when you're friends with all of them... No wonder they couldn't decide how to choose.

You had Fukuda and Serika acknowledging that objectively speaking, they were the most likely candidates to be eliminated, which is really sad when you take their backstories into account.

Mu's solution to the problem was along the lines of what I was expecting. Leave it to chance. What I didn't expect was Nitta agreeing with this method.

And then Ya-san takes out his notebook, tells everyone he's been keeping tabs on the scores, and that he was... dead last. You could see him trying his darnedest to hold back the tears. Again, damn.

But Mu convinces him otherwise, because they're all qualified, and in a situation like that you leave it to chance. D'awwww.

The cliffhanger is going to kill me, even if I already know what to expect.

Episode 21: The cliffhanger hasn't been resolved yet! Argh.

Ya-san gets more backstory, and it's a fine example of how this show can hit close to home.

Episode 22: Still strumming the heartstrings.

As expected, Mutta passes. smile Thankfully, Fukuda found another way to pursue his dream.

Next episode: I suspect Teshima will be forfeiting so Kenji can go to Houston too...

Episode 25: Feels. Feels everywhere. "Name me astronauts you admire!" "NANBAAA HIBITOOO!"

Mu's adorkability was at full force this episode too. "Shower! Shirt! Pants! Milk milk milk." XD

Forgot to update last time, but yeah Teshima quit because he realized he really doesn't want to become an astronaut. Kenji was qualified no matter what.

God this fucking show is continuing to rock hard. So far I've hated 0 episodes of this show which is something. And love how new characters are introduced and actually utilized soon after. Like they don't come and disappear the next ep.

Who predicted the fact that the "final" interview was a mere formality/fakeout, and the real interview was set for the after-party?

In any case, Mutta is scoring major points (for being as observant as heck, even when drunk), but unfortunately he steered straight into Azuma, which the other regular astronauts seemed to have been avoiding.

I expect Mutta's headstrong bluntness/awkwardness will earn brownie points from Azuma (and unlock his route)

Also I wish I was that observant when drunk...

I love how the silence of it made it so chilling. I got moved by a rocket launch in an anime

Episode 32: Wow, I actually got excited when Hibito was about to land on the moon. I could really feel how he was mere moments away from achieving his dream. Just goes to show just how well done this show is.

Azuma also turns out to have let Hibito gone to the moon first, because he doesn't want the fame (heck, he hates it), he just wants to enjoy space. That's really sweet~

P.S. Nerdy ball game is nerdy.

Episode 35: Kenji episode! Just to show how cool he is, it's shown that back in college Kenji asks his would-be wife to a date on Mt. Everest. Guy knows his stuff. His wife is equally awesome, for being so supportive.

As for the results, he passed! I was kind of worried that the show might pull a fast one, but in the end this show stays true to its feel-good nature.

Or maybe not. The Serika-centric episode is up next, and we know that her backstory isn't exactly happy.
