That's quite the cut they did. At least they've got more new shows up their sleeves.

I could've stayed up past 3 and continued to help trend #watchtoonami. But I'm being told there really wasn't much I could've done to prevent this — the temporary Dish cable loss for some, and Naruto and IY: Final Act (two shows that take their sweet time getting anywhere, even when skipping entire volumes) being back to back took a bad toll on the ratings.

Damn, that's a massive cut.

Pika, I doubt you're to blame in any way. I never stay up past 3 (then again, I never had a Neilson box).

That too. I keep forgetting Nielsons are required for ratings, and I doubt I have one.

But DV Rs also help, as do On Demand, and tweets (Neilson is somehow tracking tweet activity now).

I have an Xfinity box that refuses to DVR anything.

Is that Nielson-y enough?

Whhhhhy?! Just when I actually was starting to get into the block!

And they already told us last week that the block was shortened, and now it got worse! How do we know it's not going to just get reduced even more?!

What happened happened. Everyone take a deep breath, and concentrate on tending to other facets of your life. This is a TV block. Be thankful it's around for the time being at all. Both of the last 2 changes this week were last-minute, even to the Toonami crew. The next change cannot be predicted, so we need to absolutely support Toonami AND anime in general all the more!

It means we need to get as many people watching as possible.

It should be easier now since the block is so much shorter, they won't have to stay up as late.

They need new content as well less reruns look at December...

Weeeeelp, it was a nice three years. It seems Toonami didn't really do much of anything, it was brought back due to fan demand, and it seems that demand has finally run thin.

We need to get back to the old days where we Trended EVERYTHING on the block. We took Toonami for granted and now we have to push as hard as we can to keep it alive.

I think it was the overabundance of long-running shounen that did'em in.

That and reruns they should try some new things Fate/Zero or HXH would do fine on Toonami.

I still want Gundam Origins.

Origin is best saved for a Movie Night since it's going the route of Unicorn and it's gonna be an OVA released once a year.

00 or Reconguista in G are better choices.

Also someone will need to make an offer to Sunrise for the Broadcasting rights.

I was actually going to start binge watching some of the long runners, so I could keep up with Toonami's broadcast.

I was even going to get back into One Piece, since in order to catch up to Toonami, I would only have to watch about 150 episodes compared to about 600 if I ever wanted to catch up to Japan. (Right now on episode 101, in the Alabasta arc)

But now, I'm not even sure it'll still be around by that time.

Over-abundance of shonen?! I think they WANT those kinds of shows, since their immense length means consistency.
