That show is awesome. There's really not anything else to say on the matter.
No, most of the notable villains were knock-offs of existing ones. I hear Perry's Elvis fixation made it into the comics, but I don't remember it.
I'm a skeptical squirrelAww. XD I do know that it caused the Death of Superman storyline too.
The Protomen enhanced my life.I'm still fuzzy on how that worked. Did DC postpone the wedding for a show that hadn't even premiered yet?
I'm a skeptical squirrelYep. That's pretty much it.
What're your guys' favorite episodes? I like the Christmas special ones a lot ^^ "Season's Greedings" was hilarious.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Anything from Season One is good.
I really like "The Green Glow of Home" when Clark drags Lois all over Smallville to see corn festivals and the like.

I'm a skeptical squirrelWoohoo, the first season came in the mail! *watches*
The Protomen enhanced my life.S1 One and S2 are better than they have any right to be. The show is still kind of niche, even in DC circles. It's a fully-realized Superman show, made with great care.
Season Three got carried away with the lame celebrity cameos, and prioritized Superman over Clark, which ironically was a mistake.
I don't think it's any secret that Dean Cain is not a master thespian, and while he made a good Clark, his Superman worked best as an idea — speaking very little and showing up in small doses, like Captain Planet.
I'm a skeptical squirrelEDIT: Watched the pilot and episode 2 so far. they're really good! ^^

The Protomen enhanced my life.I still think this show features the most well done version of Clark Kent outside the comics, embodies very well what I love about Post-Crisis Superman, and is kind of the standard for Clark's character in adaptations on which I judge others.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Really liking John Shea's Lex Luthor so far. He's menacing, but also believably affable. I jumped in the pilot when Clark was poking around his office and suddenly Lex held a knife to his throat.

The Protomen enhanced my life.In "Illusions of Grandeur", why would Clark be in danger of breaking his moral code while hypnotized? Hypnotism can't make you do something you really don't want to do. I guess fiction likes to portray it as mind control that always works. Makes me wonder about the guy that was hypnotized into killing another guy...
I liked Seasons one and four best. I hated two and three. Two was boring and Three had all that clone shit and I hate clone switcharoo storylines on principle now. The new Krypton Arc was fucking great though, favorite of the entire show.
I remember really liking it when the title character finally got together so I checked out the first season and sorry, but it was boring. Maybe I should just skip to that season and see if it's as good as I remember.
You probably shouldn't. In Season 1 the secondary characters aren't anywhere near as entertaining, but some of Lois and Clark's most entertaining character interactions happen during that season, and even if you're not into their situation humor/drama styles then it's still worth checking out for John Shea's Lex Luthor alone.

Recently got into Lois & Clark. i really like its take on the Superman mythos, and the slew of original villains. Did any of them ever make it into the comics? I hear Tempus was especially popular.
