"What if Vegeta got it first in the Battle of Gods movie?" is what seems to be happening in that trailer.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).Wasn't aware of the trailer but I don't think that's correct? I just watched it, I think Vegeta's on something else entirely - the "ultra supervillain" power.
I thought it might be Ultra Ego also but like... "ultra supervillain?"
And then I wonder why it seems to be in Earth's orbit when the Beerus fight was happening.
Akira Toriyama (April 5 1955 - March 1, 2024).It's "Ultra Supervillain Super Saiyan God Vegeta". They're also adding "Ultra Supervillain Super Saiyan Rose Goku Black" as well.
I just hope we get Orange namekian for Ca C's. And Ultra Ego. Ultra Ego is the kind of stuff Toei and the games would swallow without contemplations.
Unfortunately, I think the games have been clear that the Super manga exists in some legal gray area where they can't use material from it. I think the only examples of taking from the Super Manga come from the Future Trunks arc, with Goku using Hakai in Heroes, Fused Zamasu using Katchin in Dokkan Battle, and Vegeta using Gamma Burst Flash in various games (but even then, they don't call it Gamma Burst Flash, they rename it).
The Manga Tournament of Power, Moro, Granolah, and Saiyamen arcs have never been referenced in games, and I think it's due to some legal issues where the Super Anime and Super Manga count as different properties for the sake of video game adaptation. I asked Bandai Namco once why they didn't adapt anything from the Super Manga, and they sent back a generic legalese email that was basically "we can't tell you".
It seems like the divergence is stopping Goku Black from killing Goku!Zamasu.
In the battle of gods movie was there anything stopping Vegeta from just bullying his way into being the recipient of the ritual?
It’s been a while so I don’t remember if Goku was the only one eligible
Forever liveblogging the AvengersIt required five pure heart saiyans lending their power to a sixth. Vegeta was included in that list despite previous grievances (with Roshi being the one to argue it'd work).
And he's gained the power now anyway, so it's possible if he'd been the one to do it back then, it would have worked.
Although I find it more likely that maybe some of the God Power leaked into the one doing the ritual, and similar to Goku, was brought out via training.
Vegeta has God and Blue, Gohan activated Beast, and Goten and Trunks, while lacking any new powers do seem to be stronger (though that's more through their team work).
Maybe Pan got some of that as well.
One Strip! One Strip! If Vegeta qualified as pure hearted enough to lend his power he probably counted enough to receive it
Also: does this ritual just exist for Saiyans? Why is it a thing?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersI still like my idea that, since everyone seems to be getting their own transformations to focus on now, you could have Goten and Trunks' thing being to learn how to actually, properly use Super Saiyan 3, if you ever wanted them to be serious contenders.
I know its easy to say Super Saiyan 3 is so last season, but I would argue we actually don't know what the full potential of it is; No one, not even Goku, managed to actually master the damn thing. In the next arc, just have a mention somewhere that they decided to give the Hyperbolic Time Chamber a go, and then next time they appear, boom, Super Saiyan 3 without Fusing and having learned to manage the energy.
Pull the full power super saiyan thing except with 3, to get rid of the stamina drain and make it more powerful?
Forever liveblogging the AvengersRight, something like that.
Actually, to add on to this... I'd kind of like to see them prove Vegeta wrong about the whole "learn to fight on your own" thing. Without Fusing, sure. But having Goten and Trunks fight at high power as a properly tandem tag team? That sounds awesome to me, if done right. (See the fight Goku and Krillin have with the Pirate Robot in the General Blue section of Dragon Ball for a bit of an example)

Worth a try
One of the cool bits of the Cell Saga until the Gohan ragesplosion is that the focus was on honing super saiyan
Even super saiyan 2 wasn’t super saiyan 2 the newest transformation until Goku and maybe Vegeta got it during time skip. It was just the culmination of Gohan’s potential
So it’d be neat to going back to perfecting a transformation rather than seeking new ones every arc
I’d love for more cooperation fights, especially with two who are great at fighting in tandem

Forever liveblogging the AvengersI still want someone to perfect Kaioken.
I'm always gonna want someone to perfect Kaioken.
But this idea of properly mastering Super Saiyan 3 is something I'm completely down with.
While their at it, learn to not fuck up the fusion dance for a joke too. That's as enjoyable as Buu falling asleep just before a big fight.
Meaning it's not very enjoyable at all.
One Strip! One Strip!I don't think there was any particular reason Vegeta wasn't chosen for the God ritual. But Beerus was focused on Goku at the time, so the others probably didn't want to push their luck.
#IceBearForPresidentThey had 6 Sayians all together on the last super chapter, they should have given the others ssg. Or at least broly, trunks, and goten.
Considering the problems Broly has I don’t think he needs to be getting God Ki any time soon.
To be fair, he did have that god form in that non-canon 4D movie.
I mean Broly did get SSJ 4 in one game as I recall.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."So like will we never get Granolah, moro, etc. In games till their animated.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I do wonder what direction they will take the animated series? Jiren was a much different and arguably better character in the manga than in the series.
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."Well they have two arcs they can animate for the future. So that's not too bad.
As for future stuff uh. I truly dunno. I kinda thought whoever killed Jiren's family was going to be a future bad guy since they shrouded that guy in ominous shadows.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."I was sure that the official bios were indicating that the Universe 1 gods would be villains in the future.
Vegeta having SSG happens in both the manga and the Broly movie. It's not a what-if.
