I don't know why, but DBS's 2nd ending theme feels very 90's.

So from episode 13, Beerus uses 100% of his power against Super Saiyan God Goku, and is about evenly matched with him. Goku also says he didn't feel like he lost any power when reverting to a Super Saiyan, and he backs it up by continuing to trade blows evenly with Beerus.

So that kind of screws up the power scaling from Battle of Gods, unless Beerus is revealed to be lying.

100% of his 70%,obviously.

It wouldn't surprise me at all, to be honest. Beerus is kind of a dick.

So what took the movie 15-20 minutes is now going to be a five episode long fight.

This may seem dumb, but would any of you know of a consistent Place to watch Dragon Ball Super on a phone?

Heads up, according to this scan◊, Toyble is speeding up the manga straight into the Champa Saga, skipping the Resurrected F saga. This means that the DBS manga is gonna be 1 saga ahead of the anime.

This could actually be a good development.

Since the manga and anime was happening at the same time, different ideas were happening that differentiated each medium even though they were the same story. With the manga getting a jump forward, this could probably benefit the anime so that it could borrow ideas from Toyble, considering a lot of the fanbase like his take of the story in the manga.

This is probably to address the problem of the manga being monthly, and not having the page count per chapter to equal an episode. Right now we've seen that the events of the manga have been massively abridged and it has still struggled to be relevant.

It's kind of worked by abridging what we've already seen and then adding elements that set up Universe 6, but when it comes to original content that won't work nearly as well. So starting early to have more time to set it up is a better idea.

So Super Sayian God Goku is now equal to Beerus. I wonder what prompted that change.

I wouldn't say 'equal'; Goku was getting hits in but he was also clearly losing.

Also, at least Death Battle didn't go the ludicrous route and have Mr. Satan lose to Dan Hibiki. That would've been some bull.

Please don't get me started on Death Battle.

Gaara vs Toph, or Superman vs Goku?

Super's manga is drawn by the same guy who did Dragonball AF. Well blow me down. But that link is entirely in Japanese and I have no idea what was actually said. They're skipping right over Frieza's rematch. Aw. I wanted to see the abridged version, maybe Gohan would've done more.

I'm willing to bet the reason they skipped over it is because the Frieza arc was already kind of covered by its own pre-release manga.

Ah, probably. I never finished reading that come to think of it. They never did show us exactly what Frieza did to get that powerful in such a short time. I'm thinking extra-strength laxatives, but I'd like actual confirmation.

He did plenty of push ups and some boxing lessons, and a quick jog. Yes, this not a joke, that actually happened.

Also, I notice Vegeta is on the same side as Champa and..Fem!Whis, its probably just so he can parallel Goku, but how likely is it that Vegeta trains with Champa and Fem!Whis while Goku trains with Beerus and Whis?

Still would lose to Saitama.

Well, everyone loses to Saitama. That's kinda his whole character.

Vegeta getting trounced by a fat, Egyptian cat deity would leave me on the ground dying of laughter.

That said, the way Super's gone so far, I hope this doesn't lead to some "Vegeta turns on Goku last second and trains with Champa to defeat Beerus". That posing does seem a tad suggestive, but then, maybe it's just their rivalry.

Man, Goku and Vegeta have been using those poses forever.

Naw, it'll probably be something like

• Vegeta: At least Kakarot, you're not the only one who's trained with a god. And now, I have attained an even greater level of power, one that even surpasses Super Saiyan God.
• Goku: Oh really? That's cool, I got that form months ago, but hey its cool you got it too.
• Vegeta: SON OF A BITCH!!!

Hah.

-transforms into blue-haired super form-

"I have finally surpassed you Kakarot! I am now a Saiyan who has gone beyond the level of gods!"

"That's neat..."

-transforms into long, blue-haired form-

"So how's that Super Saiyan 3 coming along?"

"Grgragglefraggle!"

• VEGETA: I have finally achieved a greater and more powerful form ahead of you! What do you say to that, Kakarot?
• GOKU: You're still on transformations? I mastered my complete potential, skyrocketing my base power to far beyond any of the forms we've ever used. I can't transform anymore, but I don't have to; my base power is far beyond any transformation we've ever unlocked.
• VEGETA: You ripped that off from Gohan.
• GOKU: He wasn't using it.
• VEGETA: Not the point! I've worked very hard to innovate this new form! All you're doing is cribbing abilities off others!
• GOKU: ...yes? I mean, sure, I've come up with some things on my own, but learning skills and new methods of training from other people and then applying those skills far better than they can is basically my thing. I mean, hell, I didn't even know a Super Saiyan was a thing until you mentioned it, and then BAM, I was glowing gold by the end of the day.
• VEGETA: ...wait, you don't invent all your own moves?
• GOKU: No, I'm really more about adaptation than innovation.
• VEGETA: All this time. ALL THIS TIME, I've been struggling to surpass you, and all you've ever done is steal other people's ideas?!
• GOKU: Other people have good ideas. You can accomplish more by accepting help and advice where it's offered than by trying to do everything yourself.
• VEGETA: I don't need anyone's help! I'm going to go invent the BIGGEST LASER I've ever devised and I'm going to blow you away with it!
• GOKU: Ooh, good luck! If it's a good laser, I'll modify it to suit my fighting style and use the mastered version to defeat our enemies.
• VEGETA: Goddammit, you're right.

Huh.

What if Vegeta does invent some godly version of the Final Flash that actually does destroy the solar system, or at least gives it a bad case of hemorrhoids? I mean, his attacks just kept getting flashier. Pretty sure he introduced the series to the possibility of planet-busting, if anybody's going to try to take out Pluto just to show off, it's going to be him.

And well, damn, Vegeta should've just trained with King Kai and cribbed Goku's trump card. Goku was kind of sly there, not telling him about that. Then again, Vegeta never asked.
