Daily Life with Monster Girl / Monster Musume no Iru Nichijou (CLEAN manga only)

I'm glad this whole arc has been finished, yeah. Given his Twitter posts and so on, it's pretty clear Okayado just needed to get the cowgirls out of his system, and the end result was actually pretty funny.

Let's see what we get now, though. There are still plenty of monster mamas he could call in.

I enjoyed the Farm Worker arc. For one thing it was equal in length to the last arc and shorter than the arcs before that. so I can't empathize with the Arc Fatigue complaints. I also can't complain about excessive fanservice in an ecchi/harem/comedy manga that I choose to keep reading. And the main girls will always be there and have more screentime, so I didn't particularly miss seeing them.

And oh boy, was this plain good fun with all the cow ladies and the satyrs' hilarious plans.

I don't think it was terrible or anything, I think he spent a bit more time on it than was really needed. I mean, there's nothing wrong with a break, but the shenanigans that the cast get up to is my favorite part of the series, so having like 4 chapters where that's almost entirely absent was just a bit too much, especially when the chapters aren't even coming out on a consistent basis.

I am looking forward to what he comes up with next though. It's pretty clear that he just wanted to turn his brain off for a bit and chill after the last arc. So we should be getting something fun soon. Part of me hopes it involves the girls getting dragged back to Polt's gym, because it would be a good excuse to see her again and also I don't think the series has really hit the "chubby girl" fanservice quota yet.

I liked this arc a lot.

...because Rachnee got most screentime in a while, even if it's bit sad in's own right given she is only not completely useless adult monster girl in Kimihiti's house.

I could do with some chubby girl fanservice, actually, yeah. The minotaurs were a gift for the people who like muscular women, after all.

...I just realized, there will almost certainly be a point made next chapter that Papi is now too heavy to fly, and that will be kind of hilarious.

I dunno in that last panel she was flying despite being almost spherical.

Considering that she was able to fly while carrying Miia early in the series (chapter 5/episode 3), the weight isn't much of an issue. How her stomach can inflate that much without bursting on the other hand...

This is probably the first arc I straight up dislike if not outright hate. The absence of most of the main girls is what bothered me the most. They're the ones that me and most people read the series for {And also MON, who are pretty great}. I really don't give a crap about any of the minotaurs, and the whole thing was just a boring, unfunny waste of time. The first few paragraphs of this Reddit comment more or less accurately sum up my thoughts on this arc.

I disagree, i felt like it was fun.

It was fun at first, but it felt like one or two chapters of content stretched out over four. There are only so many variations of "oh hey he's getting mobbed by a bunch of girls who want him to do sexual things" you can run through before it starts to get old. The fact that aside from Cathyl and Merino there weren't really any individuals and it was more of "generic monster girl herd" didn't really help either.

No doubt the people who liked the Farm arc are in the minority, as least visibly, but I've never been afraid of speaking against the general consensus. I had a good time reading about the Farm shenanigans and didn't care one iota about not seeing much of the regulars for a few chapters.

I do hope we'll get more focus on some of the lesser-appreciated girls now, personally. I know Lala got her whole mini-arc with the dying girl fairly recently, but I want to see more lewd Dullahan shenanigans, damnit.

I'll admit that it's probably a case where it's nowhere near as aggravating reading it as part of a binge. The thing is that when you're waiting for new chapters to come out, it equals almost 5 months of the primary cast being absent.

I like this manga, but not enough to where I'm eagerly waiting for the next chapter.

I don't exactly eagerly wait either. It's more like I just check periodically to see if a new one came out. So in this case it was more "hey, a new MM chapter! Oh, he's still on the farm."

I focused on the wrong thing in my last post. What I should have said was I didn't care about not having the main girls around for a few chapters, which I would still say even if I didn't binge read. It's just not a big deal to me for reasons I went over earlier on this page.

Names are: Ricchii (Leech), Yatsume (Lamprey), Mosukii (Mosquito). Presumably, Yatsume=8 eyes, in reference to how they're called "eight-eyed eels"(actually gill slits)

Also, the farm volume extras had names and stats for the various girls.

I just copied and posted from the site I got the info from, was busy trying to translate the cow, goat and sheep names.

If you post the info for the new subspecies I can have a look-see at it.

Do we still need to wait for a consensus to use the official English names or should I just switch Kiira to Killa and Kyurii to Curie right now?

And should I just go over the farm girls directly once volume 14 shows up, or do we still need to get a consensus every time?

I'm pretty sure that policy is just to use the official English names, so if the volume is out, I'd say to just go for it.

Link is SFW, text is not. Here are the info pages for the pans, satyrs and minotaurs from the farm chapters; ten pans, ten satyrs, and twenty minotaurs.

I don't have the minotaurs' info up yet, but I'll get to it at some point.

Names are provisional; they're almost certainly names of regions or breeds of sheep, so a bit of research could probably straighten those out.

Changed Kiira and Kyurii to the official English names (Killa and Curie) everywhere I could find them, except the funny page, since I keep getting an error whenever I try to edit that one.

I thought there was a girl bustier than Cathyl in the Minotaurs
