Now, the actual tournament takes place somewhere in the United States, so anywhere else but there should be fine for all of our characters to begin.

Name: Alice Ó Marcaigh
Gender: Female
Age: 20
Appearance: Alice is medium tall and slim, though some may go as far as to call her a bit on the scrawny side. With black hair, pale blue eyes eyes and a pale complexion, she has been described as somewhat gloomy, and indeed, she doesn't seem to smile much. She does not wear black, however, instead clothing herself in grey and white with a long red coat over it all.
Drive, Goal, Motivation: The meaning of life and death. She wishes to uncover the reason why creatures are born and why they must die.
Story: Alice was always a strange child, ever since she grew up in an orphanage after her parents died in a car accident. She was a well-behaved child, albeit quiet and introverted. However, she had great trouble finding adoptive parents, as wherever she went, people seemed to die in accidents or to sudden illnesses. There were whispers that she was cursed, even though she was never connected to the reason of death. Death became something of an obsession with her, as it seemed to follow her around. She discovered her talent for summoning ghosts when being taken care of by a shaman couple, but to her great disappointment, she had absolutely no potential for calling upon the spirits of the dead like a medium. However, she was a strong shaman. One night, disaster struck when a fire broke out in their house, and her adoptive shaman mother died of smoke poisoning. However, as she stood outside as the firemen tried to put out the fire, she saw a strange spirit nearby. The next months, she dedicated herself to finding that spirit again, and it became hers to command.
Abilities: Good at hunting and dominating spirits, particularly restless spirits. She has great willpower, and is hard to fool. Despite appearances, she has quite the reserve of stamina.
Spirit(s): The spirit Alice found that night was the Dullahan. The headless horseman of death took a long time before submitting itself to her, yet the reason why it did not simply kill her with the power of his voice is unknown. It follows her everywhere, usually in the form of an armoured knight in black plate armour with its helmeted head under its arm, though it can take other forms. It does not speak, yet due to the bond between spirit and shaman, she can understand its intentions. It carries a vicious whip, which upon closer inspection is a long human spine.
Classification: Sacred
Mediums for Over Soul: A barbed leather whip (Weapon-type) and her own head (Unity/Spirit Class)
Over Soul Form: O.S. Lash. The Dullahan inhabits the whip, pouring all its menace and terror into the vicious weapon. The whip cuts deep, but its true danger is that every time it draws blood, it weakens the enemy by a tiny fraction. The aim is to make the enemy so weak that he submits or collapses from exhaustion from the barrage of minor attacks.
Over Soul Form: O.S. Gan Ceann. Alice's head is converted into spirit energy, and is carried under her arm. The Dullahan's armour covers her, but the hollow armour is far too big for her, so it floats an inch over her skin. The spine-whip disappears in this form, so Alice is left with an old and rusty, but sharp, sword.
However, this form's greatest tool is her newfound mobility. As the Dullahan takes shape in the real world, its black and imposing horse appears, carrying Alice into battle. From that moment on, she does not stop moving until either she collapses or the enemy is dead. True to the legends, she can not be stopped by locked doors or gates; they swing open when she gets close. She attacks the enemy from all angles, throwing blood in their eyes or in their path to blind or make them fall. If she stops, her head speaks the name of her opponent, and the opponent is struck with excruciating pain. This mystical magic can also kill.
Skills or Traits of the Spirit: On its own, the Dullahan instinctively knows where to find those close to death. It can also use the magic that opens locked doors and gates at will. It is frightened of gold, and even as much as a gold pin will make it draw back. Alice can spurr it onwards, but it takes a lot of energy.
