Recently got into this manga via my local library. ^^ Unfortunately, we only have volume 1, but I've been attending to the trope page anyway.

I really like how it starts out bubbly and cute but shows a darker side and that it doesn't seem to be letting up, along with the almost supernatural control of people under the King. And the disappearance of teachers, even...

Again, this is only going off of volume 1, but I think the King is Arisa, who got sick of it and sent herself a traitor card in the hopes it'd stop but found her role taken by someone else.
