I don't have a track record with writing fanfiction, so I lack experience. That's is the biggest reason I've asked here.

My best advice is to write you won't get experience until you fail and learn ;).
Experience (failing) is the best teacher sometimes.

Writing fanfic isn't particularly different from writing original fiction. Just develop these ideas the way you would develop any other ideas you want to write, do an outline, then write them.
