We just had a thread about this. It was just a couple weeks ago.
Not that such a thing is not allowed at all, but you could at least present a better case.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. That's not bile fascination.
Calvin's a six-year-old, man. He genuinely likes getting dirty and making messes.
I have a message from another time...Hey, that's what we're here for. Replacement image suggestions. It's what we do. *shrug*
I think the images mostly speak for themselves, but you've gotta love those facial expressions and the glorpy sound effects. Plus it does more with less; the visuals are doing the heavy lifting instead of just having all dialogue, which I'd say is upside. I guess it uses multiple panels instead of the one, but newspaper comics are written and drawn with the intent of being read three or four panels at a time, so it looks good that way—and it's still more concise than the Penny Arcade one, anyway. And less ambiguous, although to be fair I doubt there's any risk of confusion here. Mostly I just think the Calvin And Hobbes pic is better.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Calvin likes playing in the mud; Bile Fascination is playing in things you don't like. The Calvin And Hobbes strip is more concise but it describes a different concept.
Also the Tony Hawk game is not a guilty pleasure, he asks about "anything else horrible".

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Bile Fascination is when you watch something because of how terrible it's supposed to be. Calvin is clearly drawn to the mud because of how disgusting it is. He's clearly in "Ewww, gross" mode in the first three panels, not "Awright awesome, this is gonna be fun" mode.

Rhymes with "Protracted."Calvin thinks being worthy of an "Eww!" makes the mud better for playing in. Bile Fascination would be if he thinks mud is terrible and playing in it is awful but, drawn by a masochistic urge, he does. Guilty Pleasure is consuming something you secretly like; Bile Fascination is consuming something you openly dislike.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Calvin watching a show for girls would be this trope.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.Support the current.
Only thing that bothers me with the current is how the borders on the left/top are missing. Not a difficult fix, though.
Otherwise, he's actively pursuing things he knows are horrible. Seems like Bile Fascination to me.

Clock is set.
Clock's up; locking for inactivity/lack of consensus. No action is to be taken based on this thread.
The current one is okay, I guess, but...*shrug* I mean it's ambiguous whether he really thinks it's bad or if he's just trying to hide a Guilty Pleasure, right? Or whatever. I guess it's not that bad.
But in any case, I like this one better. It's got the apt-metaphor thing going on and it's just a nicer pic overall. I mean, look at those facial expressions. That's gold right there, that is.

(I'd say three panels is better than two because the timing is better; just the last panel plus any two of the others.)
