HK FILM GESTURE HELP

I'm trying to find out what a gesture commonly seen in HK films means.

In this gesture a man (or group of men) when confronted by a girl will wipe their forefinger slowly under their nose from left to right. There is no blood or sniffing involved. It is simply a slow wipe of the finger under the nose.

Any help / input appreciated.

Update 1:

I can't find where to answer - this has to be the most confusing blinking forum I have ever used.

@De Boss Actually I just want an answer thank you

Update 2: Why am I getting the feeling I am asking the wrong people? HK Film stands for HONG KONG FILM = it's a common abbreviation.

Update 3:

No this is not a gesture of contempt or annoyance. It is in relation to a pretty girl - it is just not clear from context EXACTLY what the gesture means.

The finger is not held stationary under the nose, nor is the hand attempting to hide anything. To do the gesture. Take your right hand. Fold all fingers back except your first (fore) finger which you leave sticking out. Wipe your finger slowly underneath your nose from left (base of finger) to right (tip of finger) in front of pretty girl (in time with your mates if they are present). Girl will get annoyed and flounce off.

You want You Know That Show. Actually, I'm not sure you want that at all. You might want The Other Wiki or quickie questions.

Hmm... no idea unfortunately, I'm not familiar with the gesture (I'm half-Cantonese). Might be specific to Hong Kong.

I think it means "one is being abrasive and rude."

And let us pray that come it may (As come it will for a' that)

You wouldn't happen to have found a clip of this gesture or maybe the title of the film you saw this in?

After thinking about it, it might be a gesture that conveys contempt or annoyance (the hand would mask the tell-tale sneer that the mouth/lips would betray).

A video clip would be nice though, if you can find it on You Tube.
