Not quite as memorable as most of other Capcom's unsung, but I did like the fight mechanics and soundtrack. I usually played as June.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.I have to admit that the gameplay system from the first game was quite unique in which you had to string a specific set of combo attacks in order to initiate your Plasma Final and even so, it was quite a tough challenge for anyone to accomplish. A shame that it was taken out in the sequel.
The soundtrack in the first game was very good and that some of my favorite tracks includes Rimgal's Stage, Gore's Stage, Bilstein's Stage, and Ghost Bilstein's Stage. The only two tracks that I liked from the sequel's soundtrack was Holy Graveyard (Stage 6) and Fate of the Galaxy (Stage 8).
In the first game, I would usually play as either Hayato, June, Saturn, Gamof, Gerelt, Zelkin, or Gore. In the sequel, I like playing as Ele (who is one of my favorite characters in the entire series), Rain, Blood, Eagle, Gantetsu, and Claire.
I thought Hayato was cool but I don't understand how he could fight in something like skin tight leather also his special moves were lackluster.

gotta stay cool
In my personal opinion, Star Gladiator is probably one of the most underrated fighting game series to ever be created and that it doesn't get the full attention that it deserves. It's notable for being Capcom's first 3D fighter and that it has such a memorable story, cast of characters, and a strong futuristic atomsphere of fighting. Out of all of Capcom's fighting game franchises, I find myself to like Star Gladiator even more so than the others. Perhaps it's because of both its futuristic setting and cast of characters. What's your opinion on Star Gladiator?
