That image means absolutely nothing.

Seconding pull
"If you aren't him, then you apparently got your brain from the same discount retailer, so..." - FighteerIt's the "quad damage" power-up from Quake.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Yeah, that is completely and utterly useless.

Fight smart, not fair.+1 to pull, completely undemonstrative.
Pulled
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanGod I would put this under a TRS for a rename as it is woefully underused and not descriptive for a really broad trope "A Power-Up that yields temporary boost in speed, power, or damage for a character."
I don't have any ideas outside of World Of Warcraft's Bloodlust / Heroism spell [1]◊
Sparkling and glittering! Jan-Ken-Pon!Polutropon added the image back; should it be repulled?
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPull it again, tag the page to show that it was pulled per the IP thread, and if he/she puts it back again, make an Ask The Tropers request for an edit block.

Pulled it again, putting in a commented-out note and an edit reason that the image should not be put back before the IP thread has decided.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanClock is set.
Suggestion: show a screenshot from your weapon of choice from Heretic or Hexen, then a second screenshot with the same weapon while using the Tome Of Power.
Unfortunately, GIS'ing it didn't turn up anything useful, and neither did the Doom Wiki. Are there any Hexen fans around?
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Like this? Not too thrilled with how it came out, but regardless, on the left you've got the standard shot from Heretic's Ethereal Crossbow, and on the right, the Tome of Power-charged shot. One with a nearest neighbor resize to make it more "authentic", and one with a bicubic resize in case people think that'd be prettier.

Moon◊Definitely needs a vertical gutter, took me a while to work out that's two images.
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Either of those are good, although I'm not seeing a difference between them.
The difference lies in how the pixels are compressed. With or without sharp lines.
The Internet misuses, abuses, and overuses everything.I like the top one better.
"Only now, after being besieged by a flock of talking ponies, did he really understand what he'd lost. "It's good, but I'd suggest making the vertical separator a bit wider and/or a different color.
Rhetorical, eh? ... Eight!Got it...man, that's subtle. I think I prefer the sharper version. Making the divider, say, 5 px wider would be good, too.

Still haven't closed Photoshop, so that'll be doable; but it'll have to wait until I get home.
Moon◊White?
Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
I think that's the Quake logo, but I'm not sure. At any rate, I'm not sure how this demonstrates quad damage; I think we'd need a screenshot for a regular attack, and then a screenshot for the powered up attack.
