Hah, I knew holding onto the broken broadsword from first level would be worth it! Because broken stuff can always be fixed!
...Ya know this sandbox crafting game has a lot of rpg/metroidvania game design stuff to it .-. Thats weird

Man, I miss whatever patch it was that let you use your Warp once you got close enough to the core of the planet. It was a simple harmless fix that really made life easier.
So, is there anyway to figure out which planet a quest was on? I got a quest but I do not remember which planet it was on.
Taking notes, bookmarks, *shrugs*
(seriously yeah would be nice if they marked it down xD)
There's something on the planet selecting interface that lets you know.
:O
the morphball is in now?? :D
Yep, mine currently has spikes.
I did +100% destruction rate upgrade first and planning to do 3x3 grid next.
I'm currently a green avian using my ship as a small hydroponics lab with rows upon rows of rice and cotton. I wonder why I'm doing this since I can just teleport to my planetside cornfield anytime I want... it's just I've been used to my secret meth lab in the stars...
Also, I encountered a weird bug. I died while poisoned and asleep in a tent, causing me to respawn in deep space with my ship nowhere in sight, and I fell into a bottomless pit and died again, then I finally respawned on the ship. I saw the cloning cutscene and "30% pixels lost" twice.
Finally, is there a quick way to get back to the surface? I dug a bit deep for the Core Fragments for the first quest and the upward climb was super annoying.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Ropes are your best bet. You can also place blocks and make your own platforms as you go up.
Well i'm looking for something to the effect of Terraria's Magic Mirror of course. I already made the block platforms as I go down, so I only need to jump upward. Also, I can't suicide because I'm playing on Survival.
That's it, the next time I'm diggin', I'm only probably doing Minecraft-style stairways... and if I dig into a cavern, I'm still making a stairway.

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Make / buy your own teleporters at the outpost. They can be destroyed though.
I can't remember if the purchasable teleports work under ground or not. They are rather expensive to be using like that though unless you have a world marked out as a mining world for some reason. Otherwise no there is no quick way to return to the ship outside of use of mods or admin commands.
Who watches the watchmen? That's pretty much the whole point of them.
So about the Hellevator suggestion in the previous page, it might be worth looking into, must set up platforms though.
I would consider it a bit pricey at 3k or 13k a pop, though?

My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! Not to mention the materials required to build some of them. Really, I'm baffled as to why Chucklefish chose to avoid adding that one item, it's one of the most requested things since the first Early Access release.
Also, is it just me or does the Scientific Teleporter look strikingly similar to the Dr. Light upgrade capsules from the Megaman X games?
Hashil: Not really. They are more meant for setting up a teleporter network to take you wherever. They are way too expensive at the cost of five diamonds for a teleporter core pus the 3k pixels for the teleporter and once placed, if they are destroyed. You at least get the core back. They aren't very practical as a teleport item that would be used constantly. I could see limiting to LOS as in no obstructions in a vertical line but we have no real means of getting from under ground quickly.
Who watches the watchmen?>a spear that doubles as a flame thrower
>a broadsword that dashes through the room leaving a trail of green fire
turned out to be a very potent combination.
okay, the escort mission ai is not good enough
2nd time now one of them's jumped in lava while im trying to lead them out
Trying to figure out how to get fuel for my first off-planet journey—buy it from the shop or revisit the mining base to mine my own?
You need to visit one of the moons in your solar system and collect the Echerius crystals. You should be able to do that once you beat the mining colony mission. I'd advise upgrading your matter manipulator a bit before embarking to the moons, though... plus, you'll need an EPP tank to breathe in space. You can craft one of those, FYI.
whelp. i found a lovely haunted hylotl mansion complex
it is HUGE
and it is now mine
got my first colonist, eventually decided an apex with a beret that sold "rebel" armor was probably not a trustworthy servant, so i eventually settled on a calligrapher.
now the whole world is my oyster, and the frog people out back in the bayou are my serfs
I'm trying to figure out just what keeps people who move in once the Colony Deeds are placed from leaving so quickly. Apparently my house has some fault that quickly makes each person (usually a Glitch merchant) leave within a day. Any clues to help?
I have no idea. My copy has decided it wants to lag something fierce out of the blue on my new character. It was running nicely a day or so ago but now it is causing me problems.
Who watches the watchmen?Chucklefish did release a new patch last night - I wouldn't be surprised if your sudden issues are related.
Plus the rocks near the core tend to be frustratingly difficult to break with the starting matter manipulator. Or even after the first efficiency upgrade, for that matter.
So yeah, stick to the caves near ground level and don't try to dig too deep - that way you won't have to worry about having to climb all the damned way back up.
