Hypothetically, what would happen if Konami got hyper vindictive, and, through shell companies, provided these fuckers with lawyers to assist them in filing lawsuits to try and kill Jim?

Konami would waste a ton of money losing lawsuits and then paying Jim when they get countersued.

Plus one would have to find how Konami tracked all these people down.

I still am inclined to believe the Romines are just another typical example of people who got bullied throughout their years for a lack of intellectual development, and then ended up on the opposite end with people who cared about but also enabled them, making them think they were more capable than they really are, and desperate to prove so.

They've got an out-of-control victim complex that leads them behave as utter shits. I can relate. I used to be an utter shit because of an out-of-control victim complex. I spent my teenage years and early 20's as a mean, uber-defensive, misogynistic, occasionally violent bully who constantly lashed out at people that deserved nothing of the sort over quasi-imagined sleights, all while thoroughly convinced that I was the victim and had done no wrong.

This is why I have zero sympathy for the Romine brothers. I've been the Romine brothers, and all that experience has taught me is that those two need to grow the f*ck up or they're going to be miserable for the rest of their lives.

Someone's filed a Trademark based takedown against Jim on a flimsy clause in their EULA that he didn't ask them first to use the game and have thus broken their trademark. Leonard French goes over why this is complete BS.

Sid Alpha also comments on it at length:

I wonder if these guys picked up on the idea of hammering Jim with bullshit like this until his heart can't handle the stress anymore that somebody mentioned earlier.

Because there's no way they didn't notice how the last few times somebody tried shit like this went down.

Is there a way Jim can be made immune to future lawsuits.

Hoo boy, I just had a glance at that dev's steam forum. They're openly bragging that they'll issue a strike on anyone that rates them poorly and essentially saying "bring it on" to anyone who disagrees. Also claiming that Jim is lying about being ad-fee and was secretly monetizing their content

Steam itself may 'ave a go at them for violating their refund policy.

I think Jim just used this as an excuse to delay having to give Breath of the Wild an 8.5 out of 10, and receiving a ton of death threats.

Hell, at this point, anything Jim says about Nintendo is going to get him hate no matter what. I never really understood why Nintendo in general is so controversial with EVERYTHING but Sony and Microsoft get nothing more than a shoulder shrug.

I believe it is because Nintendo is the childhood of a lot of people. Many grew up with Nintendo, in a way that they didn't with Sony or Microsoft. That creates some kind of emotional attachment.

That would explain why the people who aren't affected by that tend to be more around their late 20s compared to the people who think that being in their mid 30s.
