Based off the title (which I hope is clickbait) and a barely qualifying skim of the video...

Mmm, tldr outside of the clickbaity title is something like: Nintendo treats parts of copyright law like the holy grail and goes out of the way to issue claims against even the tiniest sliver of content used by anyone, while at the same time ignoring fair use provisions and actively denies any fair use appeals sent to them.

Critics and reviewers, supposedly neutral sources, can only get ad revenue by partnering with Nintendo via its creators program which automatically qualifies as a conflict of interest since the money then comes from Nintendo.

Methinks Jim tried to do some more Nintendo content and got more claims for his efforts, thus the angry video.

It's funny how he basically says pirate Nintendo games because fuck Nintendo, yet that kind of thinking and be behavior is why DRM gets shittier every year.

When he mentioned on Podquisition that he had an upcoming video about Nintendo that people are gonna really hate I fucking knew this is where he was gonna go.

It seems like he got so burned by Nintendo that he don't care what he says about them or how people will react to what he says. I just hope he doesn't become like Yahtzee and just shits on Nintendo for the lulz, but fat chance of that happening.

There's a difference between calling a company out on bullshit, and pirating from a company for no reason other then out of spite.

And that is why problems continue to perpetuate. I think the people cheering and claiming to go pirate Nintendo games now after the video were just looking for an excuse to not pay for a game. Regardless on what your stance is, it seems very petty and doesn't send the message to Nintendo as many would think it did.

I saw the "disclaimer" at the end of the main video a moment ago.

I don't believe him for a second, and it's actually making me angry that (in my opinion) he tried to weasel out of the message of his video at the last second.

"Just Joking" Justification only gets you so far.

Which is why I think he just finally had it with Nintendo and went full out with this video. Besides, didn't he say in another video that piracy was wrong?

It's such a mixed bag. The games are great and the people behind the games are good people. It's the usual corporate stuff that always gets put in the spotlight.

Respect is a two way street. If a company or person doesn't respect you, you have no obligation to respect them And vica versa.

Coz the lawsuit was made under Romine's own name. Not the Corporation. So it being bankrupt doesn't affect the lawsuit.
