Any more news concerning the Sped Twins' hissy-fit lawsuit?

It's a damn shame that suing is an effective form of censorship, he doesn't discuss Digi Hom anymore because of the lawsuit.

If the Romines had made any progress in their lawsuit, they would've been shouting it from the rooftops.

I hope he gives them the reaming they deserve when this is over. Anyone with half a functional brain knows the judge will probably break out laughing.

Jim does seem fairly stressed whenever the subject comes up these days - a lot more than he was when the news first broke, when he was openly laughing about it.

But at the same time, I just can't see them being able put together anything resembling a solid case. Their accusations are downright asinine.

It makes sense that he would be. Even if the litigation is bullshit, it's still litigation. It still requires a lot of work on his part.

And, I hate to say this, but he has said a few things about the Romine Brothers that could be used in court as harassment since the scandal initially started. The Brothers have done more than their share of harassing him as well, but they aren't the defendants in this case unless Jim intends to countersue.

YOLO Army has already contacted Jim to accuse him of defamation.

Anyone here know exactly what the legal definition of "defamation" is? YOLO Army is the third entity I can remember off the top of my head that's accused Jim of it, and I'm curious if there's actually a case here or if these companies are all just throwing legal terms around to intimidate him into silence.

Generally in America it's:

1. Making a defamatory statement.
2. That concerns the plaintiff
3. Statement is published to a third party that understands the statement's nature.
4. The statement is false.

Out of curiosity I decided to look up Lato and Klace. The latter was the described in a thread of comments. Very interesting.

So Jim found this nice site where you can bet Pogs for Boglins.

It kind of reminds me of John Oliver's segment on the dubiously legal One Day Fantasy Sports. Both are an attempt to circumvent gambling laws through technicalities.

Jim did lament he couldn't provide anything unique to say on it, but at least he left us with this:

I doubt it. He's already extensively talked about Evolve's numerous fails. Them going FTP isn't much of a development, just the sad conclusion of a really shitty launch and design. There's nothing for him to say he hasn't already said.

A lot of the stuff he covers has been talked to death. Yet he never gets tired of gloating, so I'm always prepared to expect the unexpected .

Looks like Digital Homicide's lawsuit is getting struck down. Also, they don't even have a lawyer.

It's not the lawsuit itself being struct down (yet) but Romine's attempt to amend his lawsuit with irrelevant crap as a defense against Jim's assertion that Romine's picked the wrong jurisdiction to sue him in. But they are giving him more time to write a response.
