Can you do Vampire The Requiem without the vampire politics?
Umm... it's very closely tied to the setting.
I suppose you could take a game with out it, what are you looking for?
hashtagsarestupidSee, I've got worries concerning the ability of my group to believably do politics.
*Sucks teeth*
To enjoy a game of vampire you really need to get into the 'white wolf mindset'. if your players aren't a hundred percent on board with you the storyteller things get ugly fast.
hashtagsarestupid"White Wolf mindset"?
I'm very suspicious about Vampire: The Requiem since they ditched the original clans. I prefer when companies try to improve on their setting rather than demolishing and building it from scratch.
My President is Funny Valentine.I think I'll go with Requiem.
Classic World of Darkness is the best, and I'm happy MMO is supposed to be based on it.
Dropping Camarilla and Sabbat is a butchery of epic proportions.

My President is Funny Valentine. It is 'the best' because fans are familiar with it. If you're new to the game I think requiem would be better.
hashtagsarestupidMeh, 20th Anniversary Edition's rules are simple to me. I played more complicated systems after all.
My President is Funny Valentine. You could do a nomads game. Bunch of young vamps wandering the wilderness encountering weird monsters and shit.
Well, it can be done in Classic World of Darkness as well. But there is danger inherent to such campaign setting: rape train with no brakes called Lupines.
But of course there are cities in which Sabbat and/or Camarilla has no sway or only nominal presence.

Oh I forgot about 20th Anniversary. Old school feel. New school rules. Go for that.
hashtagsarestupidSURE WOULD BE WONDERFUL IF I HAD THAT

I'm tackling now Werewolf: The Apocalypse 20th Anniversary edition. When I was younger I was reluctant towards it because those obnoxious local furries were obsessed with the game and there was no one sane to play it with, but it'll give it a try now.
My President is Funny Valentine.ITS ONLY $94 TO ORDER THE HARDCOVER PREMIUM EDTION PDF COMBO
SURELY SUCH TALES OF WONDER AND HORROR ARE WORTH YOUR GOLD?
hashtagsarestupidDoes that include shipping?
How many vampires can a town with 20.000 population have? A one?
My President is Funny Valentine.I now have the Vampire: The Masquerade 20th Anniversary Edition.
A few hundred, I guess?

Few hundred is certainly overkill, masquerade would be non-existent. Unless you mean a city with 250.000 or 2.500.000 population.
My President is Funny Valentine.oh that I was fast.
one in every 100 people as a vampire? Seems a bit high... I think around 0.2% is sounds right or about 40 vampires.

hashtagsarestupidI think it's doable. Not easy, but you might get away with it.
As one conspiracy theorist in Warhammerverse said: "You throw a rock into city crowd and it bounces off a vampire. And few demons"
My President is Funny Valentine.
^^Interesting. So even if the rules were functionally identical, as long as I didn't outright copy paste them word for word I'll be fine right?
