So, has anyone watched the movie The Firm? Well, guess what? There's a TV show that started airing as early as January 8, 2012. This show picks up where the 1993 film left off.

Even though Mitch McDeere successfully helped the FBI to take down The Firm and its Mafia ties, life has gone on! In fact, Mitch and his family have left the Witness Protection Program and find themselves facing old and new challenges!

This was supposed to be NBC's next big show but they've already moved it to Saturday nights (where new shows rarely go, unless it's performing really bad or no one watches the show but the producers want a syndication deal). From reviews, I've read the plot is there but not the actors (I even saw one place where it was compared to the 2010 flop Lone Star).

If you ask me, NBC used to be such a great network. Now their track record shows that they have lost a lot of prestige and quality. I mean, I don't know else to think, if they cancel more shows than they renew! sad

All of NBC's shows look the same. They still think every show is Friends and Law And Order and they give too much power to the wrong people (no other sane network would make Jay Leno, Donald Trump and Chelsea Handler their marquee names).

As long as they keep Parks And Recreation I will be happy. You know, I remember hearing a lot of press about that The Firm show a couple months back, but haven't heard anything about it since.
