Hm... Go on.
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Not sure what to say at the moment, aside from agreeing that Splatterpunk is a damn cool title.
Splatterpunk is actually a thing. It has some connection to cyberpunk writing.
Nous restons ici.Isn't splatterpunk just a name for certain types of gory B-movies?
ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.Schitzo, that`s splatter horror you`re thinking of. Splatterpunk is a literary movement based around extreme gore, sex and violence in horror, such as Clive Barker.

This thread is over half a decade old with people who haven't posted in almost as long. Don't think you're going to get any new responses. I'm not sure how this thread even got rediscovered in the first place.
"What a century this week has been." - Seung Min KimIt was rediscovered by me looking for a page defining splatterpunk and/or giving some examples.

Alright, I've wanted to do a comic book called splatterpunk for a while now, mainly because I think it would be a kickass title. So I present to you the script for a three issue miniseries about killing monsters in a small US town.
First off, here are some character notes (actual script will come later today):
Jack Slash
Appearance: Tall and skinny, pale. He’s got wild, jet black anime hair (think Morpheus from the Sandman or Jace from Magic The Gathering), and sunken eyes that make it look like he hasn’t slept in month. Typically he wears a plain white long sleeve shirt, black jeans, and a black trenchcoat with a tendency to billow dramatically. To top it off, he wears a pair of biker goggles, up most of the time, but when he’s fighting he puts them down to keep the blood out of his eyes. He fights using a long straight sword made of silver that he wears on his back.
Personality: Jack is completely fucking psychotic. He enjoys violence to an almost unmanageable degree, and the only reason the Company even keeps him around is because he’s so effective. Despite his violent streak, he’s a keen strategist and capable of startling insight on psychology and strategy. Has a PHD in Linguistics, and can fluently speak German, Spanish, Swedish, Tamil, and Dutch.
Jenn Mason
Appearance: Average height and build. Short brown hair, and green eyes. She wears a grey zip up hoodie hoodie with a t-shirt underneath, and jeans. While in the field, she carries her two pistols in shoulder holsters and keeps clips in the inside of her jacket.
Personality: Jenn is the most normal, levelheaded member of the group, and the perfect leader. She’s quick thinking, charismatic, and the most socially graceful. She’s also one of the few people who can get Jack to back down, and keeps him from crossing the line on many occasions. One of the most versatile members of the team, she has a wide variety of skills ranging from first aid to ancient greek architecture. Has a master’s degree in International Business.
Gregori Pearce
Appearance: Gregori is a half demon. He looks normal most of the time, but can transform into a “feral” state where he has claws, horns, and fangs. He’s black, with no hair and a goatee. He wears a suit and carries an aura of class about him. He has a gold earring through his right ear and wears thin rimmed glasses.
Personality: Typically calm and collected, Gregori tries to carry himself as if he’s a dignified member of high society. In reality he’s not much better than Jack, and it shows when he’s fighting. He revels in bloodshed, but feels ashamed of it afterwards, or at least pretends to.
