Why, what was wrong them?
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. They took too long to beat because of level scaling
Ah level scaling. Let's hope they don't have it here.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.Actually, every enemy in that DLC was painfully hard to beat(mainly because they killed you fast) if you had leveled up too much. At least lobomites died fast, mecha scorpions had probelm of being made of metal
LN The Roboscorpions were a huge pain in the ass for a number of reasons.
First is level scaling, which hits them hard. Second is the fact that anything but an energy weapon isn't going to do do shit against them, and will take tons of shots to kill them. Third is that bullets are impossible to find in the location you find roboscorpions at. Finally is the fact that they attack in unavoidable groups of 4-8.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."They should cut the level scaling. That way, it would be fun to back track all the way to the beginning, and shoot an enemy that annoyed the shit out of ye.
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.Considering this is a throwback to the Isometric RPGS of Yore, I doubt level scaling will even be a consideration.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."WOOOOHOOOO!
Will we be endlessly klicking on the wastes, or will we be using that bizarre logic in which we are nothing but dots, traversing a map by clicking on towns that exist in different planes of existence?
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.I hope it's not endlessly clicking, but I'll take what I'm given.
i. hear. a. sound.I don't think anyone has any idea what the game will actually be like.
A bit like the Black Isle Fallouts, maybe?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Avellone and Fargo made it clear in the AMA that W2 won't have level scaling.
A mech that huge looks like it'd rip a team to shreds though...I wonder how combat would work with something like that.
According to Fargo there will be some kind of overworld map so expect it to play like Fallout 1 and 2 with full party combat, and hopefully a journal/dialogue log.

Yes, that's the fun of speculating, and laughing back at what we thought the game would be, once the game is released.
They can take their time, and they need to. Fallout 2 might ring a bell, and that's why they shouldn't be rushed.

If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked. It will probably resemble a nicer looking Fallout with full party control.
Drool
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.^^Probably not, Wasteland fans don't want it to be Fallout
Why not?
Gameplay-wise it certainly won't be like the first Wasteland. That game did not age well.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."^^Neither have first two Fallout games
I OBJECT!! Ah, fuck it.
I hope they don't zoom in on a character everytime they have to fucking attack. Like a zoom in on a character's guns. And if we have to customize our characters... One's long enough!
If you wanna PM me, send it to my mrsunshinesprinkles account; this one is blorked.I'm fanboy of first two Fallouts, I know what I'm talking about
Also, every game with customization, including original Wasteland(And Fallouts), have default chars you can use if you are too lazy to custom them.
Besides, Wasteland and Fallout aren't that similar even though both feature world after nuclear apocalypse Thats something Fallout ones ignore. Plus this is made to Wasteland fans, not to sell
BTW, remember "Scopitron 2.0" concept art with mecha scorpion? This is what original looked like

The original Fallouts haven't aged well, no, but at least they're still fun.
Tried playing Wasteland. If it weren't for the plot, I would never have gotten past the character creation. Even that was a challenge (Dice rolls for stats? Really? Fuck. That.)
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Can't say, haven't tried out original Wasteland But I know that there is no system that cant' be updated to current generation. They don't need to copy paste system from Fallout to make it easier to use, they can just adjust the original whatever it was. Besides, some people still enjoy original Wasteland so there must be something good in it
Point is, I love original Fallout games, but that doesn't mean I will try to make another series a chance to experience my beloved game series again in retro form
Well Wasteland Fallout as settings seem to be fairly different, Wasteland is more 80s inspired than Fallout's 50s aesthetic and we already have Fallout so I'd rather Wasteland 2 stuck to the setting of the original rather than imitated Fallout. It'd do a lot to differentiate it from Fallout.
Besides the Aesthetic and general setting wasn't the only reason to love Fallout and I'm sure W2 can maintain the great quest design and open world aspects in its own different setting.

@Horror- Yeah, on reflection i agree. The graphics look like cream cheese on a floor, and balance is an alien concept to 1 and dos. Focus on Agility and Intelligence, and your set for the entire fucking game. It's still fun, but the difficulty curve is upside down (2), and the constant clicking doesn't make this a game for everyone.
And i'm afraid of customizing four characters, cause even if there is a default, there is a strong urge in me that makes me want to do it, cause when i play an RPG, i want to customize everything. Even if i have zero fun, it's an urge that is too strong for me...

Hope they aren't as annoying as the ones in New Vegas.
