Just checked the National Weather Service for tonight's forecast at Progressive Field. Possible rain (probably around 1 AM, but about 1 in 6 chance ATM for 8 PM). It'd be almost appropriate that Game 7 get delayed by rain, wouldn't it.
Cubs are up 4-1 in the 5th.
They might actually pull this comeback off at this rate.
And 5-1 now, and man is Cleveland's outfield dropping the ball again.

Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. This game. This beautiful game. Every mistake magnified. Every decision is critical.
Score is now 6-3.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)David Ross is now the oldest player to hit a homerun in G7 of the World Series.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.Aaaaand that's a tied ballgame in the 8th inning, ladies and gentlemen.
And the Indians just tied it up with a RBI double followed by a two-run homer. 6-6 in the bottom of the 8th with two outs.
Jesus Christ, this game.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Damn, I should have taken a flyer on the 6/1 odds on extra innings.
Man, Chapman better sprint out of Chicago when the plane lands
Well, looks like it's time to tune back in. Geez.
Man, this is some tangible pressure hanging oozing off everyone. You can practically see the miasma of "fuck fuck fucking fuck fuck" hanging over them.

i. hear. a. sound.I honestly thought that the Cubs had it wrapped up when they pulled ahead early in the game. They've been dominating the last few games and the Indians haven't been able to respond. This game, they managed it.
At least it's not a dull game like half this series has been!
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Thing is, the Cubs bullpen has been established to be unreliable.
So the Cubs have to win in the 9th. Extra innings just plays right into the hands of the Indians.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)And Chapman always craps under pressure. He has heat, but he's a pretty crappy reliever imo
ESPN Radio says it's starting to rain.
Both teams' pitchers are dead. No one's got anything left. Allen can't get any strikes.
And yes, it's starting to rain.
It's going to come down to bats. If the Cubs can get a run or two in the top of the inning, they might be able to hold on in the bottom. If they don't, then the Indians just need to get a lucky walk-off.

Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. The rain has cleared up for now, but grounds crew are at the ready.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)Bottom of the 9th, this is Cleveland's to lose now.
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects. We're going to extra innings, folks.
Aaaand the rain comes down.
Rain delay right before the start of extra innings!
Aaaaand I'm out. It's already midnight and no idea how long this'll be, I'm bailing before I get sucked in and stay up until 3:00 AM.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien.Jove, come back! Game's resuming in 5 minutes!
8 - 6!
Anything can still happen, but maybe there's an end in sight!
i. hear. a. sound.I'm only following with MLB Gameday, which is basically just live play recaps. What's the strategy of intentionally walking batters so that the bases are loaded?
Fresh-eyed movie blogTo get a weak batter, to hope to get a 2x play
Easier to force a double play.

Nope, they didn't. Final score of 9-3, and tomorrow will settle things.
Except that the Cubs just spent their best relief pitcher - possibly pointlessly - and the best relievers the Indians have are fully rested. And both teams have equally good starters, so...advantage is still the Indians, but hey...it's anybody's game.
On to Game 7!
