It and Garou are easily some of the best fighters out there. SNK might've gone down with the ship, but they went out in style.

Its also too fucking hard for me to play. How does this game work?

I could never remember the names of all the characters. But my favorites were Moriya, Hibiki, Lee Recca, and the yokai-summoning girl. Thankfully NGBC still has Moriya/Kaeda/Washizuka/yokai-girl whose name escapes me at the moment. Oh the big shirtless tiger dude was badass too. The game had some really cool characters.

◊ They're both Russian too. Powered Kaede is like if Rock Howard fused with Ky Kiske and was given a katana.
I always wanted to see a fight between Moriya and Ukyo.

I love the attention to detail they gave Hibiki's single player mode. If you cut down enough opponents, she'll go from distraught, to a sniveling mess, to oddly stoic.

I absolutely love these games. Haven't played nearly enough of them. Gawd I luv MAME.
The best character in this weapons-based fighter can easily be picked out though. He's the one that Doesn't use a weapon.
Haven't really played much of this series, I but I liked playing as Kaede and Moriya in NGBC. Too bad Yuki couldn't join 'em, huh? It'd be great to see a sequel, but I'm fairly certain the story wrapped up in the second.

The one or two times I played, I think I was Speed. I think.
Power since I remember the specials being cooler. Never played the green one much.
Depends on the character. Lee can pull double-digit combos out of his ass in Speed mode while Yuki can rip apart an opponent's health bar while just out of their range with Power.
Not sure if there's a thread for this, but this SNK franchise (of two very well done games) deserves a thread anyway. Personally, I remember playing the hell out of Last Blade 2, and always picking Kaede, because of his golden hair (since I was a DBZ fanboy at the time). [lol]
