Double post but this thread's slow enough.
Something someone pointed out that's going to hurt this game's potential guest character inclusions: it's gory.
It's not Mortal Kombat, but this is pretty easily the goriest major 3-D Japanese fighter since Samurai Shodown 5 well over a decade ago. Bisections and blood splashing everywhere are out of vogue in Japan, and I don't see a whole lot of Japanese developers wanting to see their characters cut in half.

They probably have a "clean" version in the works like most companies.

I don't mind, I actually miss when Japanese fighters were a bit violent. Samurai Shodown 6 was weird for not having any.

Eh, I didn't mind. To me the blood always looked less like blood and more like ketchup or paint. If they aren't going to make it look like actual blood then they might as well remove it.

Eh, SamSho gore is basically typical animu gore, and we don't even know if this game will retain V's fatalities. I'd imagine most companies would be fine with their characters shedding High-Pressure Blood if that's what happens in their source material anyway.

Looking up the Voice Cast real quick, most of the cast has been recast. However, Mai Nakahara, Daiki Nakamura, Atsushi "Monster" Maezuka, and Kong Kuwata are still Nakoruru, Haohmaru, Senryo Kyoshiro, and Kibagami Genjuro respectively (Mai started voicing Nakoruru in Samurai Shodown Oni and has voiced her in all of her recent appearances since, including The King of Fighters XIV and SNK Heroines: Tag Team Frenzy, whereas Daiki has voiced Haohmaru in place of Masaki Usui for other projects, including Capcomvs SNK 2 Mark Of The Millennium, Granblue Fantasy, and the Nintendo 64 Samurai Shodown games.).
