Huh, I figured the Infinite Stratos ones would be completely JAFAAC, but a couple of those combined could actually work.
Jicragg, I don't know about the real life ones, but the webcomic ones are a bit dark.

The arcade game panel, the log slide, and the Harry Potter "Unbreakable Vow" cutout work best for me. Not feeling the anime ones at all.

I'd prefer 3 & 4. Most Wacky Proposals also involve the "down on one knee with the ring" following the wacky part.

Why not just the first frame Ah, I see why not: wanting to see the "down on one knee" part. I don't think that matters, though, not enough to double the size of the image. Most of the examples don't include that part, and the evidence does not seem to support the claim that they do.

I tend to agree with rodney on this one...if we do keep both panels, I'd say we need to reduce them down to, say, 275 px or so.
