I've never seen a ghost, but I have had that feeling between sleep and wakeness that there has been something strapping me to the bed. I'd jerk myself up and it would go away, but it shook me.

That's called sleep paralysis often attributed to ghost but is actually just normal body function. Try not to sleep on your back that causes it to happen more often.
