Keep Until Better Image Suggested. I think that even people unfamiliar with Lost Levels could see the pipe leading back to World 1 when he's on World 3 and take that to mean "this is really irritating"
What happened was he went into the warp zone, but it turned out the only warp there was one that made him go backwards instead of forwards.

This is a screencap from a ROM hack called Rockman Exhaust. Those weird coil things kill you, and the last screen was a lot like this one.
Maybe if it were edited to make the "instant death" factor more obvious...

Maybe I'm missing something, but I can't see anything in this picture that suggests anything about Trial-and-Error Gameplay to someone unfamiliar with the game.
What happened to the old image from IWBTG, with a room consisting entirely of spiked walls? It might have relied on the caption to explain it, but it worked a lot better than this one.
