1. Quotation marks can be typed into Google if you want exact words or phrases.
2. If you're thinking of a specific website (such as http://www.azlyrics.com/ ) then you'll want to type "site:domain name" into Google to only get results from that site.
3. I'm kind of doubtful that's a Three Days Grace song you're thinking of; if it was, I'd probably know it. It may be a Misattributed Song, unless you can think of more lyrics for it. Then I might be able to help you on that.

LyricWiki is a good one. Like all MediaWiki powered websites, you can set it as a search in any browser without having to create a custom search using an extension or whatever. I still have to search for more obscure bands in Google, and there's a handful of pages that are truncated for copyright reasons, but it does its job for the most part.

Back when Youtube had that thing with Google my profile failed to survive (long story) and I lost my favorites. After tracking down most of them I'm still trying to find a few whose names i can't remember but the lyrics are still in my head. Finding a good lyrics search engine has been a royal pain. Ideal I'm looking for something that i can type in an exact phrase from the song and not get every song that has a single word for the sentence. (one song in particular has been giving me a royal headache as the line that's stuck is "Three days, no sleep, and I..." I get swamped by Three Days Grace)
