High School DxD

So, I've finally encountered the first major change between the LN and the anime. I honestly think that the dodgeball tournament works a lot better when it's between the Occult Research Club and the Student Council than when it's between the ORC and the baseball team. Even if the entire school pouring their hatred on Issei was pretty funny.

Some mild changes, though Ishibumi apparoved them in the anime, he's notably more hands on with the anime adaptation then other Light Novel writers tend to be.

Just saw the fifth Season 3 omake episode, where a drunk Grayfia is bathing with Issei and Rias catches them...

Wait, what? I thought it was Akeno who walks in and gets the shock of her life when Grayfia mentions she also wants to be Issei's mistress? Did they change that, too?

So, you guys remember the climax of Volume 4 (the end of Season 2), right? The bit where Ddraig screams "BOOSTO" for, like, a solid minute straight? Well, I decided to count out the number of boosts used in in LN and it turns out to be 47. Assuming that Issei was at his base and his base was one, for that attack, his power was at 140,737,488,355,328.

Pretty crazy.

But it's even crazier when you get to Volume 6.

In the translation, at least, they got tired of writing out BOOSTO so many times, and started writing it as [BOOST]x20.

Well that's really boring when you can just copy/paste. It's nowhere near as fun as seeing "BOOST" over and over again.

Also, while it's really hard to pick just one, Azazel just might be my favorite character in the series.

I still believe that Bilingual is the greatest ability in all of fiction.

Also, did the anime cut out the Rating Game between the Occult Research Club and the Student Counsel?

Of course it is. It gives you the ability to understand the innermost secrets of a girl's breasts. Only a true breast man would think of such a magnificent ability,

Sad he's banned from using it in the games.

Which adds up to why its so awesome. They actually have to ban the ability where you can talk to breasts in a game where throwing fire and lightning at each other and the like is the norm.

I believe the same goes for Issei's Dress Break.

Dress Break hasn't been mentioned as being banned from the Ratings Game.

Also, I love how Issei went full reverse Buddha in order to obtain Bilingual.

So, I've read the Juggernaut Overdrive chapter and Issei's breakdown and subsequent transformation is one of the best things I've read. The way he gets out of it also reaches the high of absurdity to the point where even the characters don't know how to react and I love it. The fact that Azazel, Sirzechs, and Serafall are the ones who made the Oppai Dragon song is great.

Also, I just realized that this series is basically a case study of how the power of boners is stronger.

So, I just read the climax of Volume 9.

I don't know what just happened but it was amazing.

So I just read the climactic fight in Volume 10 and holy shit, that was one of the greatest things I've ever read. That reached Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann levels of badass. I really hope we get a new season and I really hope they do this fight justice.

Only if they get Ufotable level freelancers, and the studio that does the anime is not really the most profitable one to afford them out there.

By the way, the next volume will probably make you cry. I won't say why, though.

That and Volume 20 when you get to it.

Also, you're right. We'd need someone like ufotable or GAINAX to do that fight justice.

This special is about Rossweisse being scared of unleashing the beast and ending on the receiving end of "Dress Break". It all leads to her clothes getting shredded to bits without any magic involved.

Spoilers are coming out for the latest volume.

It really explains why Issei an the parents are really busy 30 years from now.

Also they introduce Sairaorg's brother Magdaran. Issei doesn't marry all the girls in the future either. Instead some become his concubines.

What's going on?

Lots of shite.....I suppose I should catch up.

Well I will only mention these parts since there's a ton of stuff, but the leaders of the Angels, Fallen Angels, Devils, Hindu, Norse, Greek, and numerous other factions go to the world of E x E (where the Mechanical Lifeforms come from the spinoff are from) to fight against Trihexa for 10,000 years. There's also a war between two different factions there lead by a single God each that are suggested to be stronger than Great Red. Some leaders stay behind like Shiva since there's still dangers in the current world like Indra.

Issei and Vali both have the power of D x D = Diabolos Dragon, but a different variation: God for Issei and Lucifer for Vali.

Huh so the spin-off is more important than it appears then?
