Because I thought we should have one.

Basic summary: FastLaneDaily is a somewhat long-running (I think the first episode was in '08) web series covering automotive news, be it a new/redesigned model from a company, a Formula One driver winning the championship, a new tuner special based off an existing sports car or even a news story on a drunk driver. They now have episodes five days a week, Monday-Friday, and they're all hosted by Derek DeAngelis, a self-described comedian.

DRIVE, on the other hand, is more about special videos on car stuff, started up by people who have been on FLD, including: J.F. Musial (producer of FLD), Mike Spinelli (writer for Jalopnik.com), Leo Parente (former Indy Car driver, host of the Shakedown segment of FLD), Chris Harris (think he was part of some other web show), Matt Farah (part of The Smoking Tire, another website), Alex Roy (former co-host of Road Testament), Mike Musto (former Road Testament hosts, has only showed up for one video so far, though), and some others I might have forgotten.

DRIVE itself has multiple "segments," among which are:

  • DRIVE Central: So far, it's been used as a sort of primer for what the channel will have for the week, along with other DRIVE-related news.
  • Shakedown: Leo Parente's segment, where he talks/rants about motorsports, how they relate to car brands, and so on. Is on Mondays and Fridays.
  • TUNED: Matt Farah's show, where he drives tuned-up sports cars, for example, the BBi Porsche 911 997 Turbo S, tuned to 650 HP.
  • Road Testament: Topical car talk show featuring J.F. Musial, Leo and Mike Spinelli. They talk about things from hybrids to brand identity to performance SUVs.
  • Chris Harris On Cars: This British journalist for Autocar Magazine talks cars. I admit that I don't know much about this, but for reference, the first video has him downgrading the tires on a Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG in order to make it oversteer like mad and actually make it handle better.

And, yeah, that's about it.

I'll have to look into that when I have more time.

World Rally Championship Crash is fun to watch.

Indeed. Also, this week, Matt Farah meets Art Morrison.

Also, bump.
