That is a good point (mainly because I was thinking the same myself ). I'm not sure any of the quotes here actually improves the non-captioned picture, though. If it doesn't improve it, I don't think we should use it, depite abovementioned risk.

Unless it's something really awesome hilarious appropriate etc., I like no caption. Especially when the alternative is a forced one. I think part of the logic, tho, is if it goes up with an okay caption that decreases the chances someone will add a dumb caption later.
