I sense conflict on the horizon...

Sorry I'm late, was at a wedding.

Double posting for attention. Cwper wants to make some floating islands, does it cost extra to make land from scratch?

Nope.

Is there really a 'late' and 'on time' in this game? I realize we don't want to hold things up unnecessarily long, but I figured we could all handle being able to wait and let people take their turns simply as they're able.

They're not; on /tg/ it's different because it's an imageboard, not a forum where threads remain permanently. I realize that I was in the wrong for worrying about Taco/pestering him. The problem being that people have just disappeared from the fora for 1-2 weeks at a time, which is, well, kinda late.

Eh, I just thought I'd be polite and explain where I was.

Then spend over an hour doing the actually turn. Heh.

Southern continent almost filled. Minimum two turns left in Age 1...

What would setting up a drift route for Cwper's islands come under? A Shape Climate to make a wind in each hex they'll pass through that pushes them along, or Shape Land in each hex for a "divine-magic-push-energy"? Or something else?

well, these rules were never designed to cover every situation—i'm inclined to just let you do whatever costs less, which is shape land.

also that is a cool idea so i'm further inclined to let you get away with it at minimal cost

Now that I think about it, it would make sense that you'd want to create them, wouldn't it? Guess I incorrectly pegged you as planning to introduce the Ents or the Elves.

Oh, also, I just realized - do I need to specify that the Avians start out at +1 good? Or can I go back and add that in somewhere since I get to start them out on the good side of the morality alignment for free if I want?

It's free. Just go back in and edit it in that they're predisposed to good; I kinda inferred that anyways.

Yeah, subraces, that'll work. I had considered some form of dryad, or maybe plant symbiotes. But I'll finish with the floating islands first.

Also I haven't even seen MLP yet I thought of her.

Considering that the islands float right past the land-based island I've been working on, and the fact that the Avians fly, it probably wouldn't be out of place to create a sub-race of the Avians on the floating islands, regardless of where said floating islands appear on the map.

Aww, hell yes, conflict. This is cooler than 100% of the /tg/ threads that tried this game.
