Okay, stupid question time. Is there anything stopping us from posting out of turn? I don't mean to do stuff, but Talking Is a Free Action isn't it?

I'm thinking that the desert may need to be darkened a little bit. It looked more obvious while adjacent to the basic color, but between two shades of green, I can barely tell. I'll do it if no one does before my turn.

Also, the low-power bonus is for having five or less, right? So Taco and Snowy Foxes would have an extra point from that (having added only their previous total and current round's roll)?

...okay, this is bad.

As it turns out, um, somewhere along the way, something is getting messed up. As in, now the images being uploaded are slightly different from the original paint image in that the pixel colors are slightly different, which completely fucks with the paint bucket tool. Someone with more knowledge about images than me can probably explain this. Right now, I have to use gimp.

The problem starts at Space Jawa's version.

I've been using Pixelmator for both my turns (it's kind of like a budget-priced version of Photoshop for mac), saving in Jpeg, then I loaded to Photobucket for round 1 (since imgur didn't seem to be working at the time) and PB and Imgur for round 2.

It's the jpeg that'll do it. That format's not so good a blocks of colour with sudden, clean distinctions. It's intended for photos where there are generally gradient changes.

I think PNG probably the best bet to be going on with.

For the record, I'm having a go a redoing the map. The rivers are giving be a little trouble.

Ah. Alright then. I'll try saving in PNG from here on out, see if that fixes it after my next turn.

And if you don't get the rivers quite right, I'm sure it won't be that big a deal. And if it is, I'll just try my own touch-up job when my next turn comes around.

Aw, fuck. Paint can't handle my image either.

I finished a redone version.

Hopefully it will be less artifacty. Though I have a full layered version that I'll keep updating each time it rolls round to me.
