I think that Cunchyroll post misspells one of the names. "Cadenzavna" shouldn't have a u after the v. There's more info here, by the way.

whateverCrunchyroll blog posts aren't exactly known for accuracy. They even mix up character names and insert massive spoiler pictures by accident sometimes.

Nope, those are the new villains, Chris.
Watch SymphogearThat Girl X (thing) kinda confuses me, though.
I'm pretty sure the words in parentheses at the Crunchyroll post is just information on their voice actors.

whateverSome more info on season 2, including possibly an explanation why Maria's costume looks oddly familiar.
whateverSo the first episode of G airs today. I for one hope they keep what made the first season enjoyable, but I'll keep my expectations down.
As someone else noted, what we know so far bears a suspicious (if somewhat shallow) resemblence to A's.
Feel free to look around. Also, the animation budget is much better this time around.
Watch SymphogearWell, getting funding was apparently a problem for the first season...
Do we know if Niconico is simlucasting this with English subs like they did for season one?
Not yet, but if it is Funi would likely be the one to get the streaming rights.
I actually asked if there were any plans to dub season 1 at their Anime Boston industry panel, but they were keeping quiet. Heard the stream did well though, so the fact they're dubbing it may be under nondisclosure ATM.
Episode 1 is now subbed, and yep, the entirety of it is better animated then nearly all of the first season, it seems.

Watch SymphogearAlso, The Black Gungir scene was awesome as was the opening fight.
Watch SymphogearI didn't particulary liked first season, but this seems to be badass. My expectation increased by 100 percent.
Music was also lot of better.
Oh first episode was great, the action scenes and the music were fantastic.
The opening black and white scene was kinda creepy, especially with that song in the background.
I still find it unique in this how instead of Other Magical Girl Warrior series the charcters call out their attacks, we get a quick subtitle of it. I like it, helps keep pace.
Watch SymphogearI like those, too. It brings to mind the image of video games that sometimes do the same thing.
There were two things I'm unsure about:
1) Did Serena (Maria's little sister) survive the flashback?
2) Will Fine rise from the ashes once more?
Also, how about some early bets? Between Ver and Nastassja, who will wind up the Bigger Bad?
Feel free to look around.2)Wow that would mean Miuky-san x 4. I am not sure if I can handle that much of her!
Damn those Special Attack Stills are still gorgeous. Megadeth Party!
Symphogear G seems to have better animation on the whole, which makes the action scenes even better eye candy. Not sure why Maria had to bring out Gungnir to declare war against the world but I guess that's the sort of thing you simply have to do with style.
I suppose I would have to watch the first season for this to make any sense. Still, could get the general idea and the action was pretty decent.
Is there a reason the Maria and Tsubasa's hair does that?
Yup. Practically everything in this episode makes significant nods to things from the very beginning and the very end of the first season. This includes Chris wishing she could access the form she used in the final battle, everything regarding people outside the Japanese government knowing about the Symphogear, some subtle symbolism about Gungnir being pulled out by the co-singer when the noise attack Tsubasa's concert, Solomon's Cane (the villain's main weapon in season 1) and last but not least the name of the villianous group.

tbf the name of the group and the S1 villain only sound similar. The group's name means "Finale". The villain's name has no such meaning and is spelled different.
In English yes, but it's pronounced exactly the same. We'll determine if the fansubs got themselves in a hole once we get some more info on their motives.
Commie is the only one subbing for now.
Oh, and Maria is a Rich Bitch according to her profile on the official website. This is not a spoiler, but her having black Gungnir IS. WTF.
Finally, I do love the Animation Bump. Chris' reminds me of the OVA for Do Don Pachi SaiDaiOuJou, the overall battle is much crisper, and the concert is highly detailed.
@DL: 1) Looks like a possibility, but the official website is vague.
2) Not doubting.

Fandoms are insane.
That would be the new villains.
