I doubt Kanade is getting a character CD since her song was just Hibiki's second song with slight lyric-changes.

Kanade's version of Hibiki's second song, as released in the Bluray. This isn't an official release though, somebody just ripped it from his copy. The changes in the Bluray are apparently huge, particularly in the coloring of episode 1. No idea if they'll redo later episodes in their entirely.

Well yeah as Hibiki's Symphogear prior to episode 12 is Kanade's old Symphogear. The final already aired, right? I won't be able to see in until next week though since I always watch the official subs over fansubs.

I'm already fearing for the finale. Some say it's horrid...

Hey does anyone know the name of that song Chris sings when she's fighting Hibiki in episode 6 as well as various other episodes?

"Makyuu·Ichii Bal" for her main song, "Tsunaida Te Dake ga Tsumugu Mono" was what she sang in ep 10.

You're right — she doesn't, nor do Tsubasa and Chris in that last Ultimate Song.

It Tastes Like Diabetes. I would've liked it if at least one of them died. Leave some of the characters to continue the fight, and have Miku as an anchor that connects the/reminds them of the past. I wanted the ending to at least be bittersweet. [sad]

Bittersweet ending ==//== Good ending, as it doesn't really have to be that way. It was probably the slashing of the budget that caused it to turn out like this any how.

This kind of makes hash out of the first episode, though

TBQH, my only real beef with the show was Hibiki's death. I prefer this conclusion. That said, if Miku somehow ended up using Gungnir in that final scene, I would have liked the ending even with Hibiki dead.

Did subs appear somewhere? 'Cause I don't see 'em on my usual streaming sites...

I wanted Miku to obtain an entirely new Symphogear honestly, Gungnir doesn't fit her personality. Well, I suppose Gungnir could be modified as her personal version, but orange doesn't really suit her you know?

Eh, I have a feeling if the show gets another DVD sales (which considering it has Nana Mizuki's name on it, it seems likely), there will be another Cour that probably explains the opening of ep 1.

Wait, why does the opening of episode 1 need any further explanation, again?

I mean, I thought the end of episode 13 covered it pretty clearly...

No, not that part, the part where it shows Hibiki having died at some point in time after becoming a Symphogear.

Yeah, that's the problem of Madoka and most other graphic novels. Let's kill off a character to end the novel on a sad note! Nah, that's off-putting. And stupid. Mostly stupid. Like Surrogates for example. The ending to the novel was stupid. Needless drama.

Anyway, don't compare my desires to anything like that. The 1st episode made it seem that Hibiki died. If she stayed dead, but the others lived, they could have made it into a hopeful conclusion as Miku keeps Hibiki's memories close to her heart while supporting Chris' and Tsubasa's continued the fight against the Noise.

I guess I'm just a bit hung-up on my WMG.

One thing to remember, is that Executive Meddling had slashed the budget in half forced script rewrite the Very week the first episode of the series aired, so it likely ended up being scrapped and turned the opening into a Red Herring Twist.
