also we actually had an american place 3rd at Evo in GG, Lost Soul from NYC

New "Guilty Gear" in development. Everyone act surprised.

/ I honestly think that both modern-day politics and wanting to disassociate him from the franchise means that Arc System Works will never bring Bridget back into Guilty Gear again. While I can understand why, I'm honestly saddened because to me Guilty Gear just feels like it's missing something without him.

You're underestimating how popular Bridget is. I certainly think Arc Sys would receive more discourse if they didn't put him in compared to if they did.

Nah Bridget is gonna come back, and I he's not a terribly offensive character, at least not enough for ASW to leave him out.

I don't find Bridget quite as integral to the series as some claim(he was a pretty minor character all things considered) but I did enjoy him as a character and his gameplay.

And I always found Brdiget to be fucking Adorbs, myself.

I kinda look at Bridget as another weird fetish character (little boy dressed as girl), though he's certainly unique.

I'm pretty indifferent on his return one way or another.

Now I wonder, if they do bring him back, if they'll end up making him look more obviously like a boy.

A friend of mine once brought up the fact that (in relation to Bridget) if you change a character’s iconic design too much, fans get angry. We’ve already seen multiple examples of this in media, especially in games.

So I think, at the very least, they’ll keep Bridget cutesy and androgynous. At most, they might finally give him some clothes that a boy might wear, but he’ll definitely still appear like a girl, sound like a girl, etc. That’s the lynchpin of his character design.

You may as well have Sol use ice or make Johnny a ninja if you're going to do that.

I can see them making him sound more like a boy.
