To which I say that (for the most part) these people wouldn't be in that profession if they didn't care about the well-being of others. Obviously they want to get paid for the job they're doing, but nobody goes through all those years of schooling necessary to be in such a profession solely for a paycheck (which would likely be used mostly to pay off the debts left from said schooling anyway).
