The last time this trope was brought up for being JAFAAC, it was pointed out that the whole point of the trope is it relies on telling you that the animal is called it's name.

There's really no way we can easily illustrate the trope unless someone pulls up a manga image of Rave Master where everyone is questioning just what kind of animal Plue happens to be. He's largely insisted to be a dog.

Agree, a label that says "tiger" and a caption that says "tiger" are the same thing. What we are really talking about with the CCG thing is putting a caption inside the image instead of below it.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.
