Needs an Image: Big Good

I vote for Celestia (From My Little Pony:Friendship Is Magic), since she's something a big example.

I'm not, I just think she would make a good image for the troper as she is a good example. If you have another idea, please share.

Have to say, I'm surprised this is pictureless (if there was once a big controversy or something and everyone agreed it should be pictureless, let us know! ).

I would also support Celestia as pic (duh ^^), but in the one you posted, she looks angry.... not so happy about that. If we could find pretty much the same pic, but with her looking benevolent, it would be perfect. (EDIT) Ah, three options now. Definitely the second!

Celestia is a good image source regardless. She is an example of the trope in question, she looks good-aligned, and she is a royalty wearing a crown, being constantly surrounded by royal guards, servants and whatnot.

Eh... I'm not really feeling any of those, as much as I like Celestia. That said, the second one is probably the best of them.

I don't know, I was actually pretty supprised when I found out it didn't. I did a search of the fourms and nothing came up, so I just went for the best example I could think of off the top of my head and made this.

I'd also say that this is not just mindless pony-posting for its own sake . If I think of other Big Goods from popular series, we have Yoda, Dumbledore, Gandalf, for example. They're awesome, of course, but the picture should convey to someone who doesn't know any of these series what a Big Good is at a glance. Celestia gets bonus points here for the looking benevolent, shinyness, white light, regalness.

Crap, just thought of something...(which unfortunately undermines the pony pic ) Gandalf the White also has all those qualities I just mentioned...

Gandalf looks like some old dude quite frankly, do you have an impressive illustrations of him that convey the same and also show him being in a position of power?

I dunno I like celestia better, she embodies more the kindness part of the trope while cosmos looks a bit more high class than good. Cosmos looks like a cold person more than kind or good.

@Fran: Oh dear, sorry, I don't know the smallest thing about pictures and linking them and stuff like that . But it should be easy to find one, I think. In one scene, he is clothed in white, rides a majestic white horse and shoots a beam of white light at evil things. That is pretty Good. Or at Aragorn's coronation, we have, I think a frontal shot of him looking benevolent with the crown... hmm.

But was just tossing out ideas . I'd not call Celestia out of the race yet.

she looks important but also cold and a bit out of touch. I like celestia more as she looks more close to her subjects.

She does look like a godess but not very much close to them or anything that tells that she is a kind or good person.

It might work, but the creepy chicks floating around her ruin the feel for Big Good.

The reason I also went to Celestia first (other then being in the fandom) was beacuse other notable Big Goods (Gandalf, Yoda, etc.) have other tropes assiocated with them first. It might mix up pepoles understanding of the trope to have a character that is primarly another trope incarnate first as the image.
