If you want it on PC, get it now at half price.
If anybody's interested in nabbing Cortex Command, it's currently available for free on Steam - but only for a single day!
GoG is offering The King of Fighters 2002 for free for a limited time.

I know everybody here likes to give EA (and by extent their Origin software) a ton of flack, but honestly, that's Dead Space: don't pass it up!

Seems to run really badly on my PC. Tons of mouse issues, and there's an invisible wall blocking an open doorway I need to go through.
Yeesh... duly noted. Pretty sure my comp will run it just fine, but that door glitch thing? I better check online, see if that issue was somehow ever fixed, or a fan-mod patched it. Sadly it's probably unresolved; Visceral's had several years to patch the game before their studio closed.
Still though, it's a free game, no harm in adding it to your Origin collection for future use at the very least.
EDIT: Yin Yang, I looked up the problem on Reddit's Dead Space page and apparently it's a problem related to the V-Sync and framerate. Basically, the game's engine doesn't scale well with newer hardware, and begins screwing up in various ways if the framerate goes beyond 60fps. Thus, you'll want to keep V-Sync on at all times, or if possible with your computer setup, use the Nvidia control panel or AMD catalyst to lock it to your monitor's refresh rate.

I already got Dead Space on Origin.
For free.
EA's pulling a bit of a fast one here.
Still not bad news. Especially if it means stuff like Red Alert 2 might re-appear in the monthly freebie section.
In what way?
Other than flogging a game created by yet another studio they ran into the ground as if they're doing people some kind of favour.
Steam's Lunar New Year sale is up. They also changed the way wishlists work to make them easier to organize, especially in regards to Early Access and unreleased games. I think it's mostly good, though they seem to have removed the ability to sort the list by price.
Not sure if you ran into a glitch, but you can totally sort by price. And you can filter by things that are on sale, and things that have a free episode will show up first, which I don't think was the case before.
Awesome bundle for RPG/adventure games unless you already bought them or backed them, oops: Shadowrun Returns and both expansions, Numenera, Dreamfall Chapters, Wasteland 2, Broken Sword 5, Tex Murphy: The Tesla Effect...
PSA: Amazon is having a big sale on EA Origin digital games right now
It's mainly for PC titles, but damn, are these some good deals. To give you an idea of what you can grab:
- Titanfall 2 for $4.99 (GET THIS NOW, the campaign alone is worth it!)
- Battlefield 1: Revolution for $19.99
- Dragon Age: Inquisition for $4.99
- FIFA 18 for $19.99
- Star Wars: Battlefront 2 for $23.99
- Mirror's Edge: Catalyst for $4.99 (another worthwhile grab I'd recommend)
- Need for Speed: Payback for $23.99
- Mass Effect Trilogy for $7.49
- Mass Effect Andromeda for $9.99
There are a couple more EA titles for sale, but I believe they're mostly related to the Sims or Sim City franchise and nothing else.
Titanfall won't let me buy it in Canada :/
Same thing's happening with a few of the deals too; looks like the Battlefield 1 Revolution edition isn't available in my region. No big deal, since I already own it. Doesn't look like the other titles on sale are affected on my end, either.
Is anyone familiar with the visual novels in the humble bundle? I've played the first Hunie Pop and heard of cam studio, but have no idea what the rest are.
I wasn't familiar with most of the games, but I've been enjoying "A Magical High School Girl", which is a Roguelike.
You can grab both the original Amnesia and it's sequel, A Machine for Pigs on Steam for free right now. DON'T pass this one up, it's absolutely worth your time to at least try out the games once.
The darkness II is free for a limited time, hurry!
New theme music also a boxSpec Ops: The Line is available for free from Humble Bundle right now.
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/spec-ops-the-line?
The game's a bit divisive and I can't actually say I enjoyed playing it, but I'm glad I did. And for the price of free, zip, nada and nothing all you're going to lose if you don't like the game is time.
Steam is giving away Crusaders Kings II for free
Not a free weekend thing,it really is a free copy, although this is just the base game ,DLC is sold separably
New theme music also a boxIt may be free but holy freakin crap it’s got like 150$s in DLC.... the main game must be just an empty shell. Is it even worth playing without the dlc with that much held back?
