Ehh...I'm not that crazy about the image. For the little that I know about the actual show, this could be completely in the norm.
"I know where I am, I just don't know where I am in where I am." - MeYeah, it doesn't really make sense at all if you haven't seen the episode. Even if you have, it's not really good.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter! It's not against the rules to add images without discussion, only to remove or change them
Pull, NFI what's going on in that image.
"You want to see how a human dies? At ramming speed." - Emily Wong.In case it wasn't obvious by my last post, pull.
Support Gravitaz on Kickstarter!I can see what they were going for - the conga line looks completely out of place - so that scene could provide a good image. This ain't it.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - CamacanThis might need some dialog on the first frame, establishing that something is supposed to be serious, and then the second frame showing how screwed up it gets.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid.I'm not sure whether we can picture this at all, but that most certainly does not.
Pull it.
Having seen the show, the situation fits, but yeah, you have to have seen the show, so I'm going to support the pull.
And also putting an image up without discussion is allowable unless there's a "no image" warning on the page. It's still good to bring it here first to discuss, though.
Reaction Image RepositoryYeah, pull it.
Alt account of Angeldog 2437.I was going to remove it, but I see that's already been done.
Any other thoughts? I got nuthin' right now.
The decision to pull makes sense, but I'd just emphasize that the person who added the image didn't do anything "wrong" here. Adding an image to an imageless page can be done unilaterally, and that's fine. (But, of course, that's no guarantee that it can't be removed or replaced.)
Jet-a-Reeno!I mean, we couldn't put pictures on YKTTW if this was a policy.
I'm on the internet. My arguments are invalid. The lesson here is that putting an image up without discussion is not against the rules, but putting a bad image up is.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!Pretty much. That's why putting an image through Image Pickin' is encouraged, it gets a few other people to look at it before you add it.
Fight smart, not fair.I don't think even that's against the rules. You can put a bad image up. Just don't be surprised if an IPD shows up and it gets pulled - like this one definitely should've been (as said before, the scene fits, but you can't really capture it in still images). Otherwise we'd have people too afraid to put up images without going through bureaucratic discussions, and I'm sure most people would rather trim the bureaucracy where possible.
(But then, I haven't really read any rules on images - I just know to avoid Just A Face And A Caption...)
Moon◊Right. Putting a "bad" image up isn't against the rules, unless it's really bad (like it's pornographic or a personal attack or something else that we have separate rules against.)
Jet-a-Reeno!Watched the show. Pull.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. It was pulled three days ago.
I'm not crazy, I just don't give a darn!@ Shadow Hog: the general guidelines are found on How To Pick A Good Image. General rule of thumb: the image is there to show the trope, not be an example. The more you show, the better the image.
Fight smart, not fair. There are a lot of guidelines and very few rules. Number one criterion, holy grail: demonstrates the trope. That is why articles have images. To help the page communicate. These are guidelines for choosing the best image for the page. (Note that, for instance, there is no actual rule against two pages having the same image... but it is almost never true that the same image is best for two pages. It's so close to literally "never" that duplicate images are usually pulled immediately.)
Most disagreements are really about the relative importance of other criteria. (For example, I think "looks good" is really important. By itself, but especially on the article page. Not everyone does, and they're not wrong.)

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.Clock is set.
It's against the rules to add images without discussion, right? Anyway, here's the image, in all its Trope Overdosed glory:
