Good question! I didn't watch them, but considering the Spike VG As were tonight I'd assume it came up from there. Something like "Thanks for the award, and look forward to Arkham World! Oops, spoilers!"

During the Spike TV Awards, the Joker won Best Character, and accepted the awarded on behalf of himself. He then showed a script for Batman: Arkham World, tossed it away, and said, "Oops, spoilers!"

I think his little aside is a nod to the fact, y'know, he died in the end of Arkham City, which kind of puts a damper on appearing in later games. Unless someone's looney enough to take Joker to the Lazarus Pits... Which, come to think of it, Harley probably is.

I think it may be a joke. Although if this does evenually happen(which I would guess in the next two years). Since Arkham city came out two years after Asylum. We might as well wait until 2013 to see if this happens.
But I can imagine it borrowing elements from the Killing Joke.
So. The person who brings up the Arkham World script is named The Joker.

My reaction is less "that sounds great" and more "way past the point where I'd no longer be able to take the series seriously."
