I dunno about failed. Looks like you've been moving the work side of that TRS thread along rather well just lately. 
Certainly the sandbox version is a hell of a lot better than what we had.
Not sure that work knowledge is always needed for these — I suspect many of 'em will be obvious nitpicking. I'd suggest erring on the side of moving examples to discussion if it is unclear; we're not meant to be a complaint platform in the first place.

Well there's nothing further I can do for Porting Disaster, because I don't think I know anything about the subject. In any case I'm going to holler for the TRS thread to close. No reason to have two threads. If anyone wants to work on the examples, this thread is here.

The OP says this one's done. Locking up.
The Porting Disaster thread at TRS has been lying around for over a year and attempts to revive it and get the work done have failed. Per what I could figure out of the conclusions reached, I have moved the sandbox into its description.
There remain the examples. They're now in an Unsorted category below the new folders, but sorting them (and removing misuse) will require a lot of time by people familiar with the example games.
I don't even play video games, so I'm afraid I can't intelligently evaluate the examples. But hopefully with a thread focused on sorting/cleaning the examples, the zombie thread on TRS can finally be closed.
