As a Torontonian, we survived mayor Rob Ford jokes. Premier Doug Ford jokes should be bearable.
His assaults on your administrative capacity on the other hand....
Politics is the skilled use of blunt objects.I'm just glad I recently switched to a Federal position from my previous Provincial one.
As it's been pointed out Don't count the Bloc out just yet. There's a huge anti-pipeline feeling in Quebec. Strong enough to make the Energy East Pipeline project and Drilling in Anticosti island abort. And with the Liberals now in the pro-pipeline camp, the Conservatives suggesting they should do for Energy East what the Liberals are doing for Trans-Mountain, it'd be possible for the Bloc to make a comeback ridding on anti-pipeline sentiment. Especially since the NPD is doing weakly in the province - Singh doesn't have the popularity here Layton or Mulcair did.
Not saying it's going to happen, but it's not a scenario that is impossible either.
Looks like Ontario has decided to make the Ford Nation a thing. Conservative Majority.
I'm laughing, but it's my coping mechanism.

Oh no :( good luck to all the Ontario tropers.
Sigh....if the US can survive Trump, we can survive Ford.
To be fair, the US hasn't survived Trump yet. He's still got over 2 years to go. At least (Assuming they don't re-elect him)
DON'T. JINX. IT.
Yeah that's true, you aren't dealing with it on the Federal level at least so there is probably some stuff to keep him in check.
Considering some of stuff Doug Ford said during the campaign, I'm not sure he knows the separation of powers between Provincial and Federal.
I just want to thank all my leftist associates who declared "Ford can't win" and stayed home. With the majority's he's won he can now piss all over his voters and still stay in power for multiple election cycles—you don't burn a majority that easily.
"Ontario isn't that bigoted," people told me. "Yes we are," I said. "Ontario isn't that stupid," people told me. "Yes they are," I said. And then they all proved me right by not turning out to vote against the stupidest bigot we've had run here in a long, long time.
Four years, at the very least, of Jabba the Hutt. Probably eight or twelve. To everyone who helped make this happen, thanks for nothing.

Look at the bright side, you get to be the one sane person among your associates.
I will be hate gloating for some time. An awful mix of disgust at the world combined with "I was right".
Any time someone says something along the lines of "It can't happen here", I have to choke down the urge to Dope Slap them.

Watch me destroying my countryNow you know how we felt about Trump.
Now Ontario gets to be the laughing stock of Canada for a few years. And you thought Alberta was the stupidest province.

They're still better off than we are. At least Ontario isn't an entire country.
If we are going by this. You all can laught to my country for free. I prefer it than everyone getting angry with their own country.
Watch me destroying my countryI mean we were all already hating Toronto , but this makes me feel bad for Ontario a bit.
Well at least we (Other provinces) get to laugh at Ontario for 4 years.
