So my friend introduced me to this online game called Glitch.

It's....I am unsure how to describe it.

<explores the site for a bit> I'm drawing a blank, here.

Is the only way to actually get info about what the game is to just go in semi-blind and play it?

What's so special/strage about it?

Apparently everything everyone does has some impact on the game. You can customize your character, the game's only a month old, and it's really wacky.

How long does it usually take to receive the invite? I'd love to join in on the fun, but it said it could be a few weeks.

Okay, this game is really charming. Thanks for the invite, Stevebat.

I'm still not seeing how the players affect the surroundings, but obviously I'm still new at it. tongue

We can water trees and feed piggies, butterflies, and chickens. Without us all the trees and animals would die! We also defend the land from The Rook.

According to the glitch Wiki, players can also build Streets if a Street Spirit is around.

So, what's gameplay like? What kinds of things do you do in the game?

Is it one of those MMO's where the player character runs around playing minigames, or is it something like Runescape, or maybe something like Maple Story?

I ask because the trailer makes it look like a 2D Club Penguin.

it's...hard to explain XD But there's a lot of focus on player interaction. You run around doing stuff in the world, level up, and learn skills.

...I can't explain what makes it so addictive, but it is.

Yeah, you interact with animals, trees, and other things and use a lot of different skills. The whole game itself is very charming, which is probably why it's so addicting.

At higher levels you can PLANT the trees too, as well as create animals.

I wonder what the benefits of mining are? I know that animal kinship can give valuable cooking materials for energy boosts. but what does mining give?
