Can someone Please explain to me what this trope is about? When I think of Mailer Daemon, I don't think of complicated love I think of this [1]◊

You are displaying abnormally high compulsions to over-analyze works of fiction and media. Diagnosis: TV Tropes Addiction. It's the product of yet another troper who confused wittiness with bad puns.
More on topic, I have no idea what this image is supposed to be.

It's a book turning part of a page into a rose(you can see the tear if you look in the bottom right corner). Decent, but could be much better.
Yeah, unwritten rule number one: follow all the unwritten procedures. - Camacan...And how does that illustrate the trope at all?
It's the result of this previous image pickin thread.
The trope is about supernatural entities romancing others through the internet or some other means because they are personally hideous. So a book with soulful eyes turning part of itself into a rose is representative of the romancing and strangeness aspect.
Naturally, I'm partial to the image, and my vote is Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

I liked this pic in the previous thread, so Keep Until Better Image Suggested.
The image is great; the title could definitely use some work.
Agree with The Pope

I still don't see how you're supposed to be able to tell what's going on in the image without some kind of previous knowledge.
I think we all agree on the name, at least.
The caption could use some work, at least.
Rhymes with "Protracted."Clock is set. The caption could definitely use some work, but I'm stumped on suggestions. Horrible title, definitely needs TRS'ing.

This has got to be the nerdiest, most opaque trope name I have ever seen.
The words above are to be read as if they are narrated by Morgan Freeman.Agreed with keeping image.
Could this be locked in favor of a TRS thread instead?
The sad, REAL American dichotomyI recognized the picture, and yet I still had no idea what it had to do with the trope until I read the description for a minute and thought about it.
Alright, the clock's up and the consensus is that the problem is with the title and not the image, so I'm gonna lock this and make a note on the discussion page.
No seriously. What.
Always hiding my keys in the bug bucket, you bastard dog.
