So those might fit a trope for exotic explosives better. But even then, they are hard to see with the coloring of that picture.

Keep Until Better Image Suggested...if we can get a good shot of the Green Goblin with his pumpkin bombs, that would work better, methinks.

[up][up]What merit does it have? If JAFAAC needs backing up, so does Keep Until Better Image Suggested.

[up]That looks like he's just diving out of an explosion.

[up] It's a goblin throwing spiky explosives. Granted, the art hurts it a little, but it still fits the trope.

Agreeing on the TF 2 pic just looking like he's escaping an explosion.

Well we don't actually see they are explosives in the picture. It just looks like he's throwing poor bats at some fire.

He has a big bag of grenades. He's throwing them. They're exploding. He has a madcap expression on his face. What's the problem?

It was chosen in a previous Image Pickin' thread, btw.

They don't look like grenades, and they don't look like they are exploding.

[up] Wow, could you be a little more nitpicky?

So the lack of anything in the picture that makes it clear the explosion is caused by those things is a nitpick?

How about you tell me what you think are the indicative parts of the picture, and not just attack the fact that I'm arguing?

Bombs. Throwing. Big explosion. Not seeing the ambiguity here.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

[up] Yeah, basically this. However, from the start I didn't say "keep", I said Keep Until Better Image Suggested, and made a suggestion for a possible source for a replacement pic, which you've proceeded to ignore in favor of having a hissy fit over how much the pic doesn't really fit the trope.

My point is they don't look like bombs, and there is nothing indicating that the explosion was caused by things like those.

Strangely enough, GIS isn't turning up a lot of good pics of the Green Goblin...here's a couple: 1, 2

Eh, still liking the current pic better. It shows him throwing the bombs, it has the explosion, and it's got the pyromaniac glint in his eyes (which is part of the trope too). And there's a good aesthetic to it, with a nice motion to the art (the eye is drawn to the goblin and then back towards the explosion).

Rhymes with "Protracted."

[up][up]You kidding? Bomberman is a great example. I'll look for more pictures.

This is another possibility.

[up] I thought about that one but was afraid the eye sparks would be a distraction.

Careful, there; a Bomberman pic lost in the previous crowner. At the very least, make sure not to put up the same one, or else I think it may look bad...

More Bomberman. I love the way they are all carelessly playing with bombs in the last one, although it's probably the worst for displaying the trope.

None of those get the accompanying personality traits to show the other part of the trope, though. And they're a lot busier, without a clean focus on the bomb-tossing.

Rhymes with "Protracted."

[up]I agree.

And on that note, the name's not very good, as it's more about a cutesy pun than clarifying the trope better (I know that's for TRS; I'm just throwing it out there for when the backlog is clear).
